I had one of these dogs from I was 8 lived until I was 22. His name was Toby, and he was a great guard dog, a kind friend and a beloved family member. He was VERY protective, but he knew when to be relaxed and playful. Any time I sat outside he would sit infront of me and rest his head on my shoulder. Funniest part was when I was young and did something that caused my parents to tell me off he would sit between me and my parent(s) and bark at them to get them to stop. Anyone considering buying this breed, definately do so you will not regret it, they are super careful when playing, and very gentle with kids. As a guard dog, when we were away from the house once we could clearly disguinguish his deep bark from almost 4 streets away!

These are a beautiful animal, we have one about to become ours, she will be a little lady.
And a little man will come around Christmas time. We have already spent time with the young lady Puppy and examined the mother and father. The are independent and strong willed, especially the males. Consistency and Socialisation will be paramount. We have around 3 1/2 acres for their enjoyment. Building appropriate accommodation and improving fencing is high on our necessities list.
They are truely loyal animals, with a gentle disposition, however they are large, strong and protective, so training as mentioned will be paramount.
Thanks for your video, any additional information is always appreciated.

We now have the two Caes, beautiful animals. Matilda the girls is 7months and very pretty, but a brute at the same time. The boy is Banjo Paterson, he is now 4 months old, he is slightly smaller, but at the same time his feet and build are quite massive, solid is an understatement.
We recently dropped into the breeder for Matilda and met her Grandfather and Father, my God they are massive, they are over 70kg each. Their frame is large and the body is large and legs are large, they are large.
The temperament door each is different, Matilda is boisterous and Banjo is laid back.
Best decision to get these two.

We have one now! He’ll be two next month and out of all the dogs I’ve had in my life he is by far the best dogs I’ve ever owned. He’s awesome with my kids and listens really well. Granted, we’ve had to adjust to all the hair balls rolling around on the floor but that’s the only “bad” thing I have to say about this breed

São cães com caráter, meigos, ternurentos, muito protetores com os donos e não gostam de climas quentes, portanto é uma má ideia levar um destes cães para a Extremadura, Ribatejo, Alentejo e Algarve.

Hello, I'm about to buy 2ha near fundao and am looking for a LGD. I really like this breed but I was wondering if I should take the dog outside the farm, as many LGD shouldn't. I will have visitors on a regular basis and am concerned of the dogs reaction and if this breed is the right choice for my particular situation. Great video btw :)
