Love this project. I’d leave the face of the board un-sanded just so it looks a bit more rustic. Haven’t seen those brass inserts before. Very cool.

There great, whisky staves make the most beautiful presents. If you have any small parts left may I recommend making a whisky glass (Glencairn) coaster or flight

Matt those tealight holders will smell great when they become warm from the candle heat !
Forget about using oils you can't beat whisky 😜 warming up your nostrils on a cold night!!! Just watch for your coats smelling of whisky especially if you're going out driving, I can see the faces on the local police now, they ask you to do a breath test at every chance as they won't believe a word of it when you tell them that it's coming from you coat rack 😉 😀

Great idea for coat hook rack. Did a few tealight holders last year but didn't cut down the staves, where do you get your brass screw inserts as cannot find ay like that.
