I believe in learning all different methods but I was really surprised when I learned the clutch and throttle technique from your videos and pretty much use this method exclusively now. I never thought the bike could be maneuvered by idle only. Keep um coming Thanks
I’m so glad I found this channel. Thank you so much for what you do. I’ve been riding almost 30 years and I’m embarrassed to say that I kinda suck. I’ll be practicing all this stuff when I get my bike out. It’s still winter here in the north east coast.
I never get tired of learning techniques. Wish i had not learned to use the rear brake in the beginning. How about the push pull method to avoid hazards? Thank you sir.
Not your fault. When that's all we're told, it becomes the standard we know. Unfortunately the habit has been ingrained in many of us by the egregious absence of quality instruction.
Hey Jay, thanks for another video! Please keep them coming. I received my drop guards a month ago & will be installing them during the winter downtime here in Massachusetts. Can't wait to practice in the spring with the extra confidence & insurance for my bike!
Awesome video,, been waiting for a while for a new one from you, just purchased my 2 nd set of drop guards for my other harley, it’s the best product for our Harley’s, still need 2 more sets as money permits, Thanks for that product also Hope to one day make it to your class, thanks for all you do to educate us riders
I started out doing the preload method, and I can do 18' U-turns with that, but it always seemed to me like the bike is working against itself, adding heat and wear to the clutch plates, brake pads, & rotor. I'm trying to re-train myself to use TCC, which seems to be more natural. However, I am struggling with the unnatural feeling of leaning that much. I have not been able to keep the bars at full lock, instead I immediately pull out of that tight turn and go wide. Must be a mental block! I feel like I should've gotten it by now. Frustrating.
I just sold my C90T cruiser and I could turn that baby on a dime. Now I have a new Goldwing and I suck at U-turns. It's rather frustrating. I just had emergency surgery, but I'll be back in the saddle again next week! I have never tried this TCC method, so I'm anxious to give it a go with my Wing.
Unfortunately, there is a very popular person cultivating a particular slow-speed control mindset by being consistent with his UTube videos while generating quite the following. Agree with the technique or not ( I do not) but for so many, that person's teaching has become the standard. The absence of other consistent, quality instruction just turns-up the algorithms and drives people to that channel.
Hello, Not sure who you are talking about that you dont agree with. There are all kinds of techniques used by others in slow speed maneuvers. The techniques i use are a little different, as it deals with controlling the clutch in way most dont with the throttle. Some get it, some dont! Jerry Palladino has his methods which are good, Pro-Rider, Be the Boss and others. They all get folks training which is good! I will be putting lots of videos out this year dealing with all kinds of training stuff. I dont make a living off UA-cam, so its a little trying to get videos out as much as others. Hope you will continue to stick around as.we are trying to do better this year. Train hard, Ride safe! Jay
@@motorofficertraining I appreciate the legitimacy of your method. From what I can tell, it aligns with real motor officer training. I simply can't / don't align with the methods being taught by the BTB channel.
way too difficult for me. I can't understand the total clutch control. To use a throttle and clutch or only use the clutch? I'm Korean and doesn't understand you explanation very well.

Great Jay! Shane is lucky to have you as his instructor. Amazing he caught on so quick when you took his crutch away.
Well he could come train with you! Your a monster!!
@@motorofficertraining Thanks, but it took me a year to accomplish an 18’ u-turn. I am the epitome of a “slow” learner.😎
Great video Jay.
You can never stop learning thanks

I can relate, trying to master the 18' keyhole pattern.I know what to do but nearly always late on the transition.Yes mental block.
Great video!

Like everything,it depends...sometimes I have to do things slow and straight up other times I use TCC with lean.Learn it all so you can do it all.
