Your 4degree temperature offset may be corrected by using some caulking to seal were the wires are exiting the wall. Any heat in the wall will likely influence the thermostat. At least it sure did for me.....
One thing I noticed was that you neglected to reattach the red Jumper Cable to the new RC and RH connections to the new Sensi, the way you wired it, when you turned on the cooling A/C, it wouldnt work because the sensi RC isnt connected, only the RH...
My sensi is not creating its own wifi network anymore. We had it connect to what we thought was our wifi and it was not. (There are like 8 different networks with different numbers all spell the same) and so it never connected to the wifi. Now we do not know how to get that wifi off of the sensi itself and then have it create its own wifi again. Also it could not find our wifi which is like 50 feet from it? why?
Have you determined if multiple people can control with the app from different accounts/smartphone, e.g. is there setting of some sort (as I've seen in other devices) to share control with others via invite or some such?
I just installed my third Sensi wifi stat. I agree that initially connecting wifi is a real pain. Even if you do it right the central computer has a big wait to provision(attach). Tech support is marginal at best but will get you connected with a lot of patience. Emerson needs to upgrade the software to be self healing and re settable so that it installs automatically with a very little help from the homeowner.
I purchased my home and it had it installed already having a hard time changing the temp, it changes on it own, I dont have a iPhone, can I still change the settings? please help!
No, do not run the yellow wire to red, it will trigger the condenser to be on all the time. Run a jumper wire from yellow to green, so fan only comes on when yellow gets signal. You just cant run fan on emergency heat.
Does it have swing? The only 2 features I want in a thermostat are wifi and swing and I'd buy it instantly if it supports temperature differential adjustment.
My Sensi (ST75) doesnt show any sign of having a built in Jumper but it does have a little ring on the right that says RC/RH next to it, if this is the jumper how do wires get connected?
@@ColoradoRMN why outside heat pump and furrance kicked on at the same time , and both are staying on together. common is supplying power to the unit. evrything is hooked up right , nothing appears to be crossed or shorted
Use the app to select the way you have your current config and it will show you how to config it for you. I do not have a heat pump so can only show the demo on the way I have it setup. If you need help considering giving the manufacturer a call - I am sure they can assist with your setup. Thanks for watching!
I did not enter it as I did not have it, but I did add it so that it will supply power. It is not a required wire from what I understand but the unit then will run via battery. With c wire, battery is a backup.
Make sure you have your 2.4 Band enabled. If still noting, trying calling their support? Mine too a while to connect to WiFi as well but it did. Once it did, no issues since.
Same here too. I am just waiting like for 15 minutes and hopefully it will connect. I am glad others had posted their situation too. I am glad it was just not me from doing something wrong.
I hate to put you on blast man, BUT..I chose your video because i own the SAME Hunter Thermostat that you previously owned b4 switching to Sensi. Unfortunately my concern of the wires labels NOT matching up, AS THEY DONT MATCH ON YOURS EITHER, YOU completely ignored the fact that you have wires labeled W/B and Y/O from the Hunter thermostat and there is ZERO mention of that in your video infact, you speak as if everything is labeled exact same when you install the Sensi which has No option for W/B wire OR the Y/O wire! Leads me to believe either you have no idea what you're doing or you do know, and just decided not to bother with that info. Either way, its not exactly best for an "how to" video to leave out a major discrepancy. Now im still screwed!!
Hey Nitchi - thank you for the constructive criticism. I appreciate it when people take the time to explain why they dislike a video. I had to go back and re-watch it as it has been many years since I did it (and it still works by the way). If you look at the App that was assisting me with the setup, it did not have a dedicated "W/B" or " Y/O" as an option for old thermostat but their version of it was "W/E" (I think just W would have worked too) and the old Y/O, is the 'Y' . I do see the confusion and appreciate you pointing it out. Thanks and have a great day.
@@ColoradoRMN Hey man...I feel I owe ya an apology for (kinda) bein a dick in my "constructive criticism" comment! Man this video is like the rest. All the irrelevant Jargon and no simple explanation to show you how to connect/reconnect. I just changed the batteries, reset the panel, afterwards it appeared on my wifi and BLAM I used the app and I was done. I don't understand all the prolonged verbage. Its just like the plumber I paid to fix a pipe, I said "I KNOW, WHY ARE YOU DOING SOO MUCH OF THIS UNNECESSARY TALKING!? WOULD YOU JUST FIX IT!!!""
I look forward to installing mine as soon as the minus 30 weather goes away. I don’t wanna be without heat brrr

Thanks for the tip. I may give it a try.
Interesting, I will have to check this! Thanks
One thing I noticed was that you neglected to reattach the red Jumper Cable to the new RC and RH connections to the new Sensi, the way you wired it, when you turned on the cooling A/C, it wouldnt work because the sensi RC isnt connected, only the RH...
The instructions say that on the Sensi there is a built in jumper between RC & RH so they tell you that you can dispose of the original jumper wire.
Cobalt C wire is for 24v power to the thermostat. It's not needed for thermostats that are battery operated
What if it is just used for heat? I have a red and white wire. Does not explain very good as to where 2 wires are hooked up to.
Also it could not find our wifi which is like 50 feet from it? why?
Not sure. You may have to give their support dept. a call to see if they have any tips or reset information to set it up.
Hi! Do you remember if your box came shrink wrapped or was it just the seal but no wrap outside? Thank you.
Shrink wrap
Can you make settings on the thermostat without the app?
So the thermostat can work without C wires becuse you have batteries?
Can this work on RV ?
Have you determined if multiple people can control with the app from different accounts/smartphone, e.g. is there setting of some sort (as I've seen in other devices) to share control with others via invite or some such?
I have not tested that aspect.
Anything that this one can't do compared to the nest and so forth?
Setup to WiFi is a pain. I’m returning mine. This is a pain. Seriously in 2019.

Can I replace the old manual Honeywell thermostat with this Sensi smart wifi thermostat? Any suggestion please?
Yes
It's easier if you install the wires before you attach it to the wall.
I purchased my home and it had it installed already having a hard time changing the temp, it changes on it own, I dont have a iPhone, can I still change the settings? please help!
Debbie Osorio yes you can just get the Sensi app and follow the instructions :)
What do I do with only a red & white wires?
I had to use the G wire for my C wire, can I run a jumper from g to c and still have control of the fan?
NOOOO.
Run a wire from yellow to red.
You will blow the transformer. Any powered line to C is a direct short.
No, do not run the yellow wire to red, it will trigger the condenser to be on all the time. Run a jumper wire from yellow to green, so fan only comes on when yellow gets signal. You just cant run fan on emergency heat.
Thanks for the heads up.
Does it have swing? The only 2 features I want in a thermostat are wifi and swing and I'd buy it instantly if it supports temperature differential adjustment.
No swing feature on this one. :(
I just want to know how to remove the front..changed WiFi password and WiFi thermostat doesn’t work.
The front panel? Mine just pulls off unless newer version are doing something different ?
Una pregunta le cambie las baterías o pilas pero no funciona y el aire no prende ayuda 🥹
Can you control it from far of home by apps ?
Yes, if you have WiFi.
Why did you not reattach the jumper from your RC to RH?
The sensi thermostat has a built-in RC/RH jumper wire on the back of the thermostat, due to that it did not ask to do another jumper.
@@ColoradoRMN Huh. I thought that was there for you to use if necessary. I just ordered this, and my old one has the jumper, so I'm concerned.
The RC/RH jumper is already built in so that is why you do not need to add another one.
