    Thank you for making this film. I watched with my partner. At the end of it I realised he was crying. He said “those women were telling your story”. It took me 24 years to get a diagnosis and he has supported me almost all those years. It’s been a journey to hell and back for both of us. Finally there is some awareness in the community and this film will be a part of that increasing awareness xxx

    I must be really lucky, I have stage four endo and had excision surgery. The surgeons were amazed how severe my endo was it had grown right through my bowel and bladder and right up to my diaphragm they said I must have been in a lot of pain because it was everywhere. They had to do open surgery because of how it had grown through my bowel and they needed to resection my bowel so it wouldn't cause an obstruction. 16 hours later I came out of surgery and I felt right away that the tightness in my abdomen had been released and it no longer hurt to pee.
    But I say I'm lucky because I only have pain with my period. My periods used to be hell vomiting and fainting heavy throbbing legs and back and headaches and stabbing pain on one side but apart from the first 3 days of my period I was fine. I guess it just goes to show that severity doesn't always correlate with pain. My endo was severe but I didn't have many days in pain but I know other women with stage 2 endo that are in pain nearly every day and have more severe pain than I did.

    I'm sobbing. I needed this today. I always beat myself up for being "lazy" because that's what I'd been told when I was sick my entire life. Diagnosed at 36 very severe endometriosis thru laproscopic excision, 20 years of horrid symptoms and countless er and dr visits. It was all over my organs in my lower cavity. Bowels, rectum, bladder, abdominal wall, organs fused together, lots of DIE. Surgery brought me great relief for 6 months. I hate that I almost died to get diagnosed and no, I cannot have children and had been trying for 8 years 💔

    Currently watching this while struggling with endo. Every second of this video is dead on. Every part of it. This is what everyone needs to watch. Especially the families and friends, partners of those who struggle with endometriosis.

    This is an excellent film. Thank you for giving us women who suffer from this condition a voice to let everyone know what we go through. The emotional pain is as excruciating as the physical pain caused by endometriosis. I will definitely share this.

    I see you, I hear you. I couldn't wait to go through menopause. I had 1 week out of every cycle where I felt like I could function . Don't rely only on the medical system. Natural medicine can help, i helped me deal with my pain, disfunction and every other symptom I had.

      I’m so sorry. I was in the same boat until I met my husband. When they mentioned their mothers, I felt happy for them but sad for me. My mother always told me to “suck it up” and that I was being “too sensitive” my whole life. If I had to cancel a social event, I’d be made to feel guilty by all family and friends, 2016 Christmas comes to mind. Even after my diagnosis, my mother was on my back about having a baby while knowing the pain I was living with. The disease has since taken my ability to conceive naturally, and I think she finally realises what I’ve been dealing with, but it has taken way too long. We’re all endo warriors, but for those with no support, that’s a next level of strong 💪🏼 Sending lots of love to you xx

    This video is amazing, thank you for raising awareness on endometriosis! But, please, let’s not leave trans endometriosis patients alone, let’s not ignore them: they’re suffering like us. :( and I’m just telling this because there are any trans endo-patients in this great video.

    • @KMacqueen
      @KMacqueen  5 років тому

      Thank you for your kind feedback lovely! We wish we'd been able to include trans patients in our lineup as well. We did a call out on some of Australia's biggest Endo pages and sadly no one volunteered. We'd love to work on branching out and including as many people as possible for our future projects. Suggestions are more than welcome!! Thank again for your support! 💛 Xox

    I've wondered if the mother (me) taking Birth control pill has anything to do with my daughter having this very painful issue of Endometriosis. My daughter RIP is gone now as she ignored the usual pain once too often, and had stage 4 Cancer on her Adrenal gland etc! All in the abdominal area. I highly recommend regular check ups on this nasty painful disease. Blessings
