- White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is holding a briefing Tuesday afternoon following her sometimes combative exchanges with reporters at Monday’s media availability.
Several reporters questioned Jean-Pierre about President Biden’s physical and mental fitness, with the administration spokesperson insisting that the press corps had not been misled about his recent medical exams.
The questioning came after reports indicated that visitor logs showed a neurologist specializing in Parkinson’s disease visited the White House eight times during an eight-month period.
Tuesday’s briefing is slated to begin at 1 p.m. EDT.

That's not what he asked, Karine. Just answer the question directly and explain why Joe doesn't get those tests specifically for those illnesses. Why won't they? I agree with Rep. Jasmine Crockett that urging President Joe Biden to withdraw from the 2024 election is misguided. Running for president requires substantial financial resources, and Biden already has a significant fundraising advantage. It's important to respect democratic processes, and I question how we would select a new candidate without undermining voter trust. Given Biden's established record, I think he deserves to continue his candidacy.
