- Am I paid by Blizzard Entertainment and do I secretly hate World of Warcraft behind the scenes? This is a long overdue video, I believe, where I am going to address these two questions at last. There are lots of people in my comment section over the years that have accused me of selling my opinions on WoW for money under the table; on the opposite side, people saying I hate the game and want to see it destroyed. @@AkiRa22084 Gameplay has become uninteresting, as someone who has been playing the game since he was nine years old (i'm twenty-six now... i feel old).
Not a fan of the direction the story has been going, either... it feels as though the current writers loathe the material they're working with, hence them either killing off or outright ruining most of the older characters. I'm willing to bet that characters such as Jaina and Thrall are next, considering what they did to Khadgar...

I’ve been happily nope out of Wow since castle Nathria. Dragon flight looked to happy, and shadowlands plus, but I saw they made changes I wanted for a long time they just felt a bit late for me.
Nuance on the internet is very rare to find, especially in the UA-cam comment sections whether its about a game or just a random topic of conversation, some people find it very difficult to have a real discussion online or sometimes even in person, to those people they need to broaden their way of thinking and start to think critically about subjects or topics and not irrationally lash out because it goes against their preconceived line of thinking or ideology.

Nixxiom it would be very interesting to see a video about how you make videos. With you recording how you brainstorm ideas what to make, how you look for content or research, how you record and edit and so on. What changes, do you make a script and so on.

I am just completely jaded on WoW these days. The last things I loved where Classic and Legion. I just don't think that Blizzard can make a fulfilling retail expansion anymore. I really don't like the vibe of the game and that its become a collection grab video game.
any plans to stream again? i enjoyed when you would play wow or another mmo for a few hours fairly consistently. it was great to listen to while at work.
You're probably right about people only seeing either the negative or positive videos that you release about the game due to how UA-cam can recommend certain types of videos to people. Have you considered doing 1 video instead taking about "the good, the bad and the ugly" as a long form video rather than splitting them up into 2 different videos? If so, why not? I would be curious to know your answer :)

The allied race starter zone idea is actually kind of great. It would give Blizzard an opportunity to give snapshots of a lot of these zones post Legion/BFA. Like I'd love to see what's going on in High Mountain and Suramar after all the world ending demon stuff is over. Having a Kul Tiran questline where you're like, idk dealing with a smuggling operation that leads you to fighting a pirate or something, void elves could have to fight off a bunch of void creatures or eat a baby or whatever it is that they do.
You'd just phase all the zones with Ziodormi and now suddenly you have a more recent modernized image of these old zones post their expansion. I think it'd be great. 10/10 idea.
A starting zone is not a bad idea, but it's not like we are not introduced to them beforehand : to unlock each of them, you had to do quest where you interact with them a lot, until you're given a big lore quest in wich you understand why they joined your faction, wich is for me the true "starting zone" experience for this races.
Of course, you don't have that for the Earthen Dwarf on PTR right now, but it's probably to not introduce more story spoilers in the mix, and i'm sure we will have that for them, just like we did for all other Allied Races.
Again, a real starting for each of them would be good, but realistically, this kind of content take a lot of time to develop, time that i don't think Blizzard will allow too much going forward if they can skip it (dracthyr being an exception, but it would be more accurate to say that it's an Evoker hero class starting zone more than a race starting, even if they are linked to each other).

13:37 the only problem i have with zygor. Is the concept of a paid for addon... when i already paid to play a game. Its an automated system that streamlines leveling. And saves you a bit of time yes. But its a paid for addon against the games TOS. Sort of like the PVP automated bot addon that just guarantees a win as a rogue making it impossible to play against and thats a paid for """addon""" or that new paid for addon thats basically chinas social credit system and just gatekeeps raiding based on dps. Even in for fun game modes like season of discovery. All 3 of these break TOS in 2-3 different ways. Zygor. Paid for addon and is the least offense. That pvp paid for addon, automated play, bot programming, paid for addon. The social credit addon, paid, using dps logs to keep people from the raid.
Got one question for the man himself: Did you have any rescheduled trip to the land of the north? Or was it called off completely?

you clearly love the old wow more but you also are one of those people that tries to stay as positive as possible. staying positive is the key to enjoying life more.
i could never play retail wow with a negative mindset, but it becomes far easier to enjoy the game for what it is when you have a positive mindset about everything.

I disagree with you on many things, but I think you are a top tier content creator, I enjoy watching your videos and I cannot wait to see more videos in the future!
It's an honest review. I did that for books for over 10 years and I saw the same thing. It's crazy. What *I* don't get are those who hate the game, have /ragequit so many times and they sit around on the forums talking about how awful the game is. And they haven't played since Draenor. They get a thrill out of sitting there shatting on the company, the play, the players, characters, setting, houses, and what the characters have to eat. If it's anything in the game (a banana), they'll be yelling about how bananas should be in the game. But they don't play. Ever. I just don't get it, they hate the game, why hang out in the forums? Okay, that's my rant of the day.

Kind of surprised to see other comments with a similar perspective to me. I simply don't care for WoW at all anymore, but I've been watching your videos for at least like what? 12 years or so since MoP when I made the jump from private servers to retail.
My reasons for loving WoW have been systematically destroyed; Paladin class being less about supporting allies, PvP servers and that push and pull of faction tension, just the simple pleasure of killing mobs cause maybe they drop a cool useful item. And the story was just so disgraced from BFA-Shadowlands (Even Legion wasn't hitting for me). I left WoW behind and started a new journey in FFXIV. Now I have a new home, community, and game that I love for completely different reasons than why I loved old WoW.
And yet I still like to keep up your videos and other's, even though the subject matter no longer speaks to me. You're not a paid shill, but I do wonder how much of your positivity comes from genuine passion versus the deep rooted desire for the game to provide that passion as once it did for all of us. (But that could just be my own projection, because I do miss when WoW lit a fire in my heart, when I was Xakatosch the Draenei Paladin.)
Thing is WoW needs to learn from other MMO's at this stage. If the game didn't have run back to raid bosses and you just respawned at the boss or easy summons to the boss and most of the time wasting mechanics like clearing trash mobs etc and they announced okay we are adding that in you'd have an outcry of the entire player base asking what are they smoking which goes to show WoW needs to evolve it isn't 2010 anymore.
as someone who was renewed to love the game. due to Mop remix and DF, after the failure with shadowlands and bfa. i actually love nixxiom and really do agree with his opinion on worgens, i love van helsing. so i'll keep watching him and believing wow can be better. if destiny 2 can recover. so can wow.

But Nixxiom, I love FFXIV ;_; Also I never hated wow, I hate where wow (esp retail) is.

1:43 you have every right to hate mop remix. And maybe season of discovery. At first it was great but then they didnt add enough new things after season 2. blizzard has done nothing but lie to us ever since the release of MOP remix. They put a X10 cost on the gear to upgrade making it 38,000 bronze (a 1/3000 drop chance mount cost) to upgrade it just one time fully. Out of 15. The gear costs. Cost more than all mounts and cosmetics combined. Alts have 0 to no chance of upgrading their gear cuz why farm 570,000 per toon when average player gets 10-20k per day. And then they said "we dont plan to ever reduce gear costs at all" and keep sprinkling. Tiny. Tiny. Tiny bronze aquisition upgrades. That drip feed the playerbase to time gate it. Then they lie to us saying "actually. Its not possible to change the gear costs" (when they multiplied it by 10 from ptr)
And the gear cost was just one problem. They are on a 78-7 nerf to buff ratio. Where theyre actively hunting and looking for farming spots to keep people from farming bronze. Anything above 20k an hour gets hit with "removed hyperspawn" , "removed bronze drops by 90%", "removed threads completely", "removed the coins from frogs". And thehn after every time they attack and nerf a spot they go "oh oh. Shhh shh. It was a bug it was a bug. No no they were using a bug but we wont punish them" because they know if they did theyd be punishing people who just played the game. And thered be a lawsuit. So to appease the crybabies who would be like "why is everyone stronger than me why cant i be that strong" (after they got rid of every method to get strong) they say "no no no. You see it was a bug. You are supposed to grind endlessly in raids getting at max 10-20k per day. You see they were bug abusers" gaslighting the customer.

From the perspective of an irregular watcher of yours, i can tell UA-cam algorithm really tries to force only 1 type of content from yours on the watcher if you watch those.
So haters will more than likely will see your "hate" videos and the other way around.
And ppl confuse hate with critiques cause frankly they just don't understand that word.

This is just how people are... I talk up games like Hunt Showdown and Guild Wars 2... I break down where the games fail... like i'm not a fan of the recent expansion... but they're winding down GW2 and getting ready for... apparently... Guild Wars 3 or something else... we'll see... but I defend a lot of things but I also provide harsh critique where it's needed. Same with Hunt Showdown... some people don't understand that you can like some aspects and dislike others of a game... like I don't care for WoW content mainly because of the community... everytime I engage with the community it's nothing but toxic ramblings... but I don't think you're a shill you are pretty direct with the good and bad... but like you said people see one thing because they don't look at the wider scope of things you do overall and boom you hate it or you're a shill.
I always have hate and love relationship with WoW . I love the Pve side of WoW ,but hate PvP side of WoW . I felt Blizzard can not go right with pvp . Nothing they do right fixes pvp .
Back in 2013 was the year that Blizzard really screwed pvp players . Most of them including my friends have not come back to playing WoW . Taken away resilience gear really put the nail in the coffin for pvp players . They had enough of WoW . My friends were done put a fork in it . They were not coming back to WoW .

the comments you mentioned about the earthen not having a proper civilization is this kind of thing that i also find you guilty of, apologia. Always willing to give wow a chance, even when its not worth it. Personally i think its because its not a bad way to make money, to talk about wow... unfortunately its what has lead to wows decline and maintains its shambling corpse from decaying completely.
No changes were made to revert retail to the way wow once was even after success of classic. This means blizzard either doesnt understand, lies about wanting to l earn from classic and improve the game or simply cannot admit due to interest of prolonging this game as long as possible - that its too risky making it good like it used to be because it required commitment and time. One thing casuals dont want is for games to require engagement time and commitment.

You keep doing you!! That is what is wrong with society in general today. Everyone is trying to force everyone else to take a side. There is no objectivity or looking or hearing both sides of the story. Remember people, every coin has 2 sides. Quit living on your side and try to see thing from others point of view. As a warcraftaddict, I have to take the good things with the bad. I know my opinion are just that, MINE. Too often people try to silence the other side voice and that will only end badly.

More of a fantasy fan, but I do love the Black Templars.
Try being a player that ranks #shadowlands with #legion cause there was something for EVERY CLASS to do. Legion content quests for every spec. Shadowlands enough covens so that a player could put one of EVERY ARMOR CLASS in EVERY coven. Then #dragonflight, cant make epic armor for alts, #battlepass rep system that ONLY works for people that play ONE class. #dragonflight has ONE PIECE of content for ALTS & thats teleport system & thats only cause they LET the player pick what place to unlock first at #battlepass lvl 10
