Just bought this and installed it. Everything is working perfectly except I am not getting any audio. The Bluetooth will connect for audio. Any advice?
The microphone that comes with the original car is used by the original car system. Our microphone is used by our module for Siri and making phone calls. USB is the same, our module requires its own USB interface to listen to music and play videos from the USB drive.
Does the Sync part still have all the vehicle-specific customisations of the original module (ie. heating settings for seats etc)? Would this work with a 2016 S-Max with Sync 2?
Yes and yes. I'm still waiting for an answer as to why they increased the price by $170. It was $230, not it's $400. It's not worth $400 when a Sync 3 swap can be done for under $500. AliExpress is now showing it's no longer available...

I have a small issue..I had an aftermarket camera intalled before the module..after I installed the module camera still works but if android auto is on and I use the reverse camera, then put it back in neutral, it takes me back to module main screen and I have to press the android button to connect again, what can I do to fix this? installed the module and I don't know if I made a mistake while installing the module but now, my sync 2 (the old car version) of my 2011 ford edge limited seems upside down, meaning, the buttons on the upper right corner for NAVIGATION now it activates the MUSIC. I touch the time on the center top and it activates HOME, etc. Took me a few minutes to figure out the configuration was upside down. I'm not sure if I mismatched the cables on the back of the sync 2 or maybe connected the module upside down? Can you help me please?
If you have a 8" screen with Sync2, all it requires you have to replace the interface module behind the screen. Installation is easy if you have done car stereo installs in the past.

Does this work with the self-parking system on the 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium models? All of the Sync 2 to Sync 3 upgrade modules I've seen disable self-parking because they're not compatible with the rear parking sensors. I'm hoping that since you're still running Sync 2 with this unit, the self-parking function will still work. Can anyone confirm?

Yes, it can works on your Ford S-MAX if it has the 8 inch SYNC2 screen. The module menu only surpport English, but the language of the Carplay user interface is dependant with your phone language.
Has anyone installed this on a 2014 Ford Edge Ltd? The metal shroud around the screen and the case the new motherboard is mounted in are different than mine (Sony). The screws holding the screen in now interfere with the screen shroud and the motherboard case doesn't have the holes to remount the pull handles/mounts. Help!

It can work with your original rear camera. Then you can add another camera for Frontview or Sideview, but need to note that you only can see the Frontview or Sideview after pressing the AV-IN button on the main menu. You can play music and videos in the U disk, formats of Flac, wav, MP3, MP4, AVI, MOV, MKV... almost are supported.
I have no approved installers in Sydney. You should find a installer by yourself. Of course I can support the guidance if you have any problems about the installation.
Scam.. do not buy. I lost my money buying this... I got a PCB which was not doing anything. Installed it as in the video but the screen was not even powering up. No support from the seller after providing them pictures and videos with the installation and connections.

figured it out. Had to change "car type" in carplay settings.

@@jasonjuarezz Sync 3 is needed to run CP/AA natively. Sync 2 doesn't support it. You'd have to upgrade to Sync 3, or buy one of these setups.
