this is probably the first time i've seen a producer use an English vb for a Japanese song, and it actually sounds good???? the accent makes her voice sound really unique!
it's as if a foreign person is trying to sing a japanese song whilst trying to diminish their accent, tbh. it brings out the realism.
The only other example I can think of is 40mP's The Flower of Raison D'etre, but they have such different moods and convey a different message from the usage of GUMI English... I think it's really wonderful!

Well, it really is hard to find a song with a good tuning of Gumi’s voice.
Despite her being hard to tune, you really nailed it as if I was listening to an actual singer as well as making use of her English voicebank to create a really unique accent.
_So glad I found this hidden gem!_
I remember Police Piccadilly commenting on a cover of Nerve Impulse, noticing the difference between the Japanese and English pronunciation of 'nerve impulse'.
Maybe using exclusively GUMI English in a Japanese song with English loanwords was the culmination of that sentiment. Still can't believe they went ahead with it.
