What a great idea to use lace trim as piped icing embellishments. The dolls will have so many wonderful desserts to choose from at the reception 😊

Very wonderful! Years ago a friend made my wedding cake, inside was chocolate cake. Before it left her house, her little boy took some icing off the back and enjoyed it very much! We had roast beef at our small reception and the usual foods. I accidentally bit my husband's finger when he fed me cake.
That is such a cute and sweet story Karen!!! Yes my wedding cakes were chocolate on the inside too!!! I Love CHOCOLATE Cake! Children are so much fun they're so mischievous! My youngest son used to scrape all the icing off the sides of cakes too well at least decide he didn't think we could see! ☺️😀🤭😂🤣

When I saw your Facebook post, I wondered how you managed to do all that perfect piping on the cakes- now I know! 😄 Thank you for showing several different methods of achieving similar results. Instead of buying liquid clay, I can check those paint bottles I got back in 2000 and couldn't bear to throw away. 😳😆

Lace is a fantastic source for beautiful texture! I used it on my Theater building to look like scrollwork and stone carving! ❤
Oh wow that's an amazing idea for using it as scroll work on a building!! It was really funny because I was truly stumped about how to make the cake look like it had piping and then I looked at that trim and I said this will work if I paint it! I truly Love having to improvise to get the look I want! I guess that's because as a child, that what I had to do ..... it's just a natural part of how l create! Thank you so much! 🤗 YES those resin pigments really make a big DIFFERENCE !! I've used acrylic paint before and pastels by themselves, but the liquid pigments really really blends well!

YES! RESIN IS MAGICAL!! 😆 IT WAS SUCH A MYSTERY TO ME AS A CHILD! SOMETHING ONLY ADULTS COULD USE AND IT WAS VERY EXPENSIVE LIKE $5 OR SOMETHING BACK THEN!🤭🫣😅😊YES I DID BAKE THE CAKES IN THE MOLDS. ( THAT was in part 1)😅 Sculpey and Fimo work really really well! I was introduced to Sculpey so I tend to lean towards it. But if I see Fimo and colors I want I won't hesitate to get it!!! 😄

Oh yeah now that's a great idea too I use that as "grout between my bricks" it would definitely work for Cake icing!!! I'm going to have to try that!!!😀💖
