I learned from you to repair my car and now I have experience in all of this thanks to you. The reason is because in my country there are no mechanics who work well in repair. I love you and I love my car and consider it a part of my body. My car is a bmw e 38.
Again, great job. If you don't can find the working WDS, just use your BMW Rheingold - have everything inside.

It’s nice to see the car as we all love it OEM but the system inside the unit is really dated. If you can upgrad it with MMI unit witch will work with the OEM factory system just fine. Thumbs up as usual brother 👍

Love your videos. Saw in the end that the radio doesnt show date. I ve got the same problem. Mine shows --/--/2003. I cant set date. According to BMW this is due to old software. Do you know how to fix this???
Hello! Probably, your navi and cluster are not coded correctly ! Or is a problem in the vehicle order FA.

24:30 not true, its about android guys*, iPhone works good with old gens of ULF :)
I never tried Iphone in my E39 but i cant remember having any problem with android phones..
THe biggest problem was the audio quality. I have the latest ULF module and the newest mic, the audio is better but far from great. 😛 But in my E87 i retrofit the professional radio with bluetooth HF built in, and my iphone will be unable to connect to it maybe once a week, and i need to pair it again.. Very annoying! Works fine when connected but seems that after a while it needs to be re paired again..
@@Alpejohn for modern androids(not only),it requires higher gen of ulf(better the last one "13").
iPhone works smoothly with older one (e.g. gens "3" \ "4")
Yes, ULF has terrible quality of call streaming and solution is to buy mic from F10.
About E87 i dont know, it should use under the hood evolution of ULF which are called TCU (Telematic Control Unit)
30:00 - not true, same for E39,same identical for E46... :\
E46 does not use the same monitor as E38/E39 and E53.
@@Alpejohn but it has same problem, dead pixels, because are burned on sun!!
@@ffs_999 Yeah that might be, i have personaly never seen this but i dont live where the sun is really strong either. 🙂 But you can buy new lcd screen and replace it, dont need to find a whole new monitor for that. 🙂

I retrofitted the factory backup camera on my E39 Touring, it uses a plate that mounts over the button for the trunk, and you get a new small round button to replace it. My camera broke after many years so i mounted a ebay camera and made my own mountingplate that goes in the hole where you grab to open. Its a 3d printed part and it works pretty good. 🙂 It sits flush with the rest and only the camera sticks out, looks pretty OEM. 🙂
Im sure you know, but its possible to buy a new LCD screen, so you dont need to replace the whole monitor, just the lcd screen inside it. 🙂
