You might think you know everything about your favorite Pixar movies, but are you sure you’ve seen all the different versions? Today, we’re going to be taking a look at some great Disney films and revealing what was changed in other countries. Yes, even movies that take place in other countries, like Ratatouille, have international versions and you might be surprised by which details have gotten changed. There are two very different racers in Wreck-It Ralph and where you live depends on whether you know about Minty Zaki or Minty Sakura. Then, there’s the different voice actors from Finding Dory who provide narration for the Marine Life Institute. The movie Up! has quite a few changes, including Ellie’s Adventure Book and the jar she saves her change in. Inside Out has tons of alternative titles as well as some interesting alterations, including everything from which vegetables Riley eats to which sports her dad daydreams about watching. Monsters University has quite a few switches too, including the cupcakes Randall makes and the banner on display at the annual Scare Games. There are also many different Zootopia news anchors depending on which version of the movie you’re watching.
What do you think about the international version of these much-beloved movies? Do you wish any of the alternate versions had been incorporated into the one you first saw in theaters? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section and then click on the subscribe button for more videos from us here at CBR.

The polish title for "Inside Out" is "W głowie się nie mieści" and sure if you're gonna try to translate it to english, it's gonna say "It doesn't fit inside the head", but actually it is a common polish saying, which means "it's unbelievable!". "Intensamente" is a word play of "Intensely" (referring to emotions, maybe) and "Mind". The English suffix "~ly" translates as the Spanish suffix "~mente" and "mente" by itself means "mind". It's not called "Intense mind", but "Intensely", with the word "mind" being highlighted
This is because in English it is adjective + noun (Intense mind), but in Spanish it would actually be noun + adjective (Mente intensa)

Intensamente , doesn't mean "intense mind" it means intensely. In this case -mente is not a different word but a suffix just like -ly is. "Intease mind" would be written "mente intesa" since in Spanish we use adjective after the subject not in front of like English does. However people do pick up the double meaning they tried to imply.

In Japanese anime, manga and shows they won’t use real Japanese names so as to avoid associating a name with any bad or questionable behaviour done by a character. This is likely why they changed mintyzaki, Sakura being in animated characters names is also very popular in Japan. They likely wanted to respect this issue to keep the large Japanese audience both for the movie and for the games

"Adventures of Mowgli" is the second film adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's work released in 1967. Even though the movie was not conceived as a reaction to the Disney adaptation, it proves an interesting contrast, being more faithful to the epic and primal content of Kipling's original work. The Soyuzmultfilm's adaptation appeared more adult and in spirit is closer to Kipling's book. There are scenes of mass fights and duels, blood and death are shown, there is charged atmosphere, suspense. Subjects of life and death, debt and feelings, heroism of the soldier and human essence arise.

ya know, "Inside Out" was translated to "Головоломка" in Russia, which means "Puzzle". Bond with original name is in the part of word - *Голово* -ломка. "Голово", i mean, "Голова" means "head" in russian. another part - "ломка" - means "breaking". so, we have "head-breaking". it's the literal translation.

"Coco" was still named "Coco" in Portugal, so that Portuguese flag in the background when talking about why it was called "Viva!" in Brazil... Hmmngh, a bit of a cringe xD
Also, "Coco" sounds a lot more like our word for "coconut" in Portugal, rather than "poop"! "Poop" has more strength on that second "oh", the sound is more similar to like... The "aw" in "raw" (but not exactly!). Rather than a soft "oh" like in "cocoa" (and the name of the movie).
At the very least it reads more like "coconut", since "poop" is spelled "cocó" (emphasis on that lil acute accent friend) and coconut IS just "coco".
Maybe that's why it stuck here!

European portuguese and brazilian portuguese differ phonetically and morphologically, so things are spelled and read differently, maybe that's why we both say it's spelled a different way ^^

Ooooooooh I’m in AUS and I never knew it was an American flag in ToyStory!!! Yeah it was always a globe for us.
Edit: Also we did have the Koala in Zootopia!!!
Edit 2: Also we had the soccer in inside out!!!
Edit 3: Also we had a blue car in Cars 2!!! (I think, but he wasn’t yellow)
    I’m learning so much!!!

I'm actually incredibly stunned right now because it's been years since I've watched the movie 'Up' (because of allergies and stuff) and I've honestly completely forgot about Ellie's Adventure Book.... Seeing it now, I realized that my boyfriend gave me the exact one for Christmas and I've been filling it with a bunch of polaroids and plans for trips and stuff.... Fun thing about it is...my name is also Ellie.

I live in Australia, and I remember watching Zootopia on Stan. I just looked back at the news thing you were talking about and you were right! He is a koala. That's cute lol! 👌

I think it’s cool that in Zootopia they changed the news anchor to fit the country. My Japanese students would have no idea what a moose is. But for Japan did they have to pick a tanuki. While adorable tanukis are also a fertility symbol.
