    Yes, "Bok" is informal whereas "Dobar dan" is more formal. "Bok" is a standard light-hearted hi while "Dobar dan" would be translated as a regular "Good day".

    It's not bok, but bog. G pronounced like the G's in Gregory...and the o not too short spoke....and smooth, not rough.
    It is not an English O though...keep that in mind.
    Us in the very South of Damlmatia tend to say dobar dan as if the d was a greek th or the Spanish D in Madrid. It's almost silent, but as prominent as the L in Popocatepetl.

    At 5:35 for the ones interested in what that weird sounds were when he was walking next to the sea..?
    There are pipes below water level built into the jetty connected to different kinds of organ pipes, which you can see at that time in the video as holes the size of a golf ball behind him, also built in and when the sea moves so does the air in the pipes and makes these eerie sounds.

      In Zagreb it is bok. Both versions are acceptable ;)

    The accent is funny try to say that rough, learn Croatian alphabet you will be better. Zadar where he is is beautiful😍

      I definitely have some work to do with my accent and pronunciation. Zadar is amazing!
