I was happily surprised at the variety of great tones available on my RCA Sunface. It is terrific with everything I have tried on it - Les Pauls with low to medium gain humbuckers, Lollar Dirty Blonde single coils on a strat clone, and even low output Filtertrons on a Gretsch 5420. Have you tried dialing in a little bit of input attenuation on the internal pot? It makes the sweet spot a little wider when you back off the gain slightly from full on the guitar.
John Shalamskas I haven’t touched the trim because I haven’t felt a need to but I probably should experiment with it. I did adjust it on the TI/UK not long after I got it with great results dialing back the wall of fuzz max gain a little. The RCA has more clarity and less of the wall of fuzz at max, Iight try dialing a bit more fuzz in at maximum. It’s never too woolly which is nice.
@@lpdog Yep, most likely medium gain. I went for "higher" gain on mine but then I ended up dialing back the input pot a bit, so I guess medium gain was plenty :-).
The TI/UK sounds pretty amazing.
TI/UK for that vintage fuzz tone
I like how the RCA is ‘cleaner’. A better match for my 5e3. Blessed 🙏
TI/UK for the win. Such an amazing fuzz
Useless demo to me through humbucker. Sounded okay for a minute with vol turned back, oh well, supposed to be legendary

Nice vid!
Which of the 3 RCA Transistors your pedal comes with? Hi gain, Low Gain or the 1920's?
Thanks, I ordered it right when the RCA’s became available so I guess it’s medium gain but not sure, I didn’t specify.

The IT/UK seems to be more noisy. Is that so ?
Now pay attention or you won’t know which is which.
