That mostly differs between cultures. Western Dragons were seen as greedy, destructive and evil. Eastern Dragons on the other hand are seen as benevolent and kind, only destructive when provoked.
There is not one single kind of "original" dragons, since tales of dragons exist in many different cultures and in very different varieties. Dragons as symbols of wisdom and luck seem to derive more from chinese and japanese mythology. The European representations in the oldest known sources are usually greedy and vicious, like the firedragon in the Beowulf saga or the dragon Fafneer in the Völsungen Saga and its "prequel" in the Edda, who is basically a human demigod who turned into a dragon because of his greed, jealousy and obsession with guarding his treasures.
@@pencilartguy3258 Believe it or not, if you do the research you will see that there were once many "good" dragon deities in Western culture as well, though "modern" Christianity has rewritten their own holy scriptures to change that. In his heart, he only wants what’s best for the boy. What was fixed was the boys vanity, if he had any, and a very healthy sense of self. A high self esteem covers his voice, and as he hits puberty, it covers how long and lanky he’s about to get, or acne, or whatever causes young adults to become self conscious.. The boy has gotten whatever comes “fixed” in how he feels about himself. His father is happier and prouder than if the boys voice had been changed. I don’t know if that was his wish or not, but the dragon is both kind and wise. Good dragon!

I think he told the dragon he just wanted to be her friend and be liked for who/what he was. I know it is a two part wish but if you are a kid in dragon video you should be able to have a two part wish. = )
Alternate ending: "Sapphires weren't good enough for you? Why you stuck up little imp, I don't want any thing from you then, and you're not going to hear my wish!" And apparently neither is anyone else... (Crunching sounds ensues)
A wonderfully crafted artistic piece with a message of importance to fathers and their sons, a message missing in family structures where the father is omitted. A message a mother cannot give a boy. Watch the movie before you read further........ The boys wish was simple....... he wished for his father's approval ........... (underlying)..... and he's father's appreciation of all that he is..... and not just acceptance of his shortcomings.... This is a major step in a boy's life of becoming a good man.
Totally used to this channel only having animated clips. This was very well done. Only thing that bothered me was the dad leaning on that short spear while favoring his sore ankle. Toppling over onto it would send Jr back to ask for another wish. Nice costumes, great interactions with the little gecko. Great story.Bravo.
This is beautiful and definitely deserved the award
I think he told the dragon he just wanted to be her friend and be liked for who/what he was. I know it is a two part wish but if you are a kid in dragon video you should be able to have a two part wish. = )
I think this is the best short film I have ever seen!
Well done love the plot and the way it played out!
The kids wish was to become a bad ass .
The Original "Chuck Norris"
His voice was no longer a issue with the other villagers.
That was truely awesome.
And made me cry with joy.
Dude cut down on the soy milk. You've got more estrogen running in your bloodstream than a pregnant woman.
Alternate ending: "Sapphires weren't good enough for you? Why you stuck up little imp, I don't want any thing from you then, and you're not going to hear my wish!"
And apparently neither is anyone else... (Crunching sounds ensues)
Dalek Emperor: "YOU CANNOT HURT ME! I AM IMMORTAL!" ("Doctor Who" Series 1 episode "Parting of Ways")
The Dragon was somewhat enticing.
Goddammit scalies
@@chickenturtle5026 you just made my day
Was more of a normal lizard tho ngl
That was magically endearing!
En azından turkce Altyazı yapınki bizde anlıyalım
Very well done. Great CGI and good story
Excellent and very well done.
Great and touching story.
Lovely; thumbs up and saved
I like it now that I've read the comments and understand what happened. I'm usually fairly perceptive but I missed just about everything.
Totally used to this channel only having animated clips.
This was very well done. Only thing that bothered me was the dad leaning on that short spear while favoring his sore ankle. Toppling over onto it would send Jr back to ask for another wish.
Nice costumes, great interactions with the little gecko.
I wonder what was wrong with the kid's voice? 🤔
Was he supposed to sound like James Earl Jones? 😉
Il ragazzino è balbuziente...
