Vanna was initiated into TRG (Tiny Raskal Gang) at the young age of 11years old. He takes us through his life on the streets being homeless and involved in gang violence, to becoming a pioneering break dancer in Seattle during the 90's. Later we learn of his unique story of landing a role in a cult gangster genre film in 2011. This is the inspiring story of a man who against all odds, has the will to strive for more and pursue his dreams.
As a former ex gang member in a Asian gang , I join a gang to fight against my own people. It was my protection because my own people was my worst enemies.I was targeted because i live in the wrong neighborhood .. that was my only wrong , if only my parents never move me in the hood, my life would be different ..
You made it out and became stronger for it, God has a plan for us all and the hardships are part of his plan. So many ppl born into good families and live in wealthy neighborhoods but turn out to be shitty human beings and get into trouble no matter what.

I grew up in a mexican hood back in the day until the riots in 92, nobody ever gave me trouble but got invited to a ton of quinceaneras and smoked a ton of weed. only if you got into the slammer in LA county jail, then the Sorenos were gonna kill any random asians tho. weird times.
I used to lived in fresno in the 90's. I loved the cholo culture.never in a gang but the lowriders mannn.. I'm 50 and missed being a youth again. Lol

i was in dys w/ some trg kids in the 90s. they were thick in Lowell Mass. nice kids but they were on machete time on the streets. ik they had a long beach connection but it's crazy to see it's all over. guess long beach prolly predated Mass.
Yeah they started in Long Beach back in late 80's I believe...
@@beyondcinema makes sense. we didn't really have crips in Mass back then for the most part. just a few Cambodian crip gangs back then,trg, midnight crips, swamp brothers, etc. only one blood one that ik of, Boston red dragons. i think cause of Pol Pot x the kmer rouge that American Cambodians fled from.

I thought it was white sailors/navy/marine semen bullying everyone who wasn't white on the streets of cali and that's how gangs formed as self defense groups against hate mobs.
mexican gangs existed before black gangs in california, but when the war in El Salvador happened and they were coming, some black gangs did pick on them and rob, finesse them knowing they didn't understand english. Then the racial wars began.
