Quetico is one of my favorite places, but I've only done minimal canoeing there. You've given me a lot to think about!

Make sure you add a couple of days to your trip. So much to see in Quetico. Thanks for watching.

Jeremy, your video is spectacular, and you captured the experience perfectly! The only thing missing is the sweet scent of Quetico air. I've used Latourells tow service as well, and yes, the tow is worth every penny! Fun watching you land the 27 inchers. Thanks for sharing your journey. Paddle on.

Thanks Stephanie! It means alot to me to get an approval from such a seasoned Quetico Paddler. Thanks for watching. More videos in the series coming soon.

I just started watching your video.
I love you using a kayak paddle. Its a no brainer.
I hope you thanked the boat driver for letting you get those scenes of you heading away from the dock.
Get yourself a used kevlar canoe. I have purchased two from LA Touells
I tried a prism last year. A good fast light but tippy canoe. You can paddle 4.25 mph in a kevlar. Quieter and cooler. When you try to paddle fast in the Alumicraft. It gurgles. Turbulence. Very slow hull speed
I am going to put a middle seat in a mn2. And give it a try as a solo canoe.
June is great for topwater bass fishing. Rebel teeny pop-r with orange mouth.
Cast it right next to shore and work it s l o w l y.

Thanks for watching. There will be a tribute video at the end of the series for the boat drivers. Thanks for the tips!

What type of canoe were you using?

17 ft alumnacraft. Spray painted dark green. I bought it on the side of the road for $160. I had to pound the dents out of it because a tree had fallen on it. It actually turned out to be a really stable and fast canoe when paired with a double bladed paddle. You don't need the fancy canoes and all the best gear to go on a trip.

Was your shuttle really most of the way down Basswood from Prairie Portage?

Moose Lake latourells outfitters to back Bay basswood lake. 13 miles on way in - 7 miles on way out.

What was the name of the lake that you enter Quetico?

I started my trip with a tow from latourells outfitters on moose lake - see part 1. Went through the prairie portage ranger station and up through Basswood Lake and nw down the Basswood River. Prairie Portage is the main place most people start.

Need to learn kilometers and meters. that feet, miles, 1/8, 1/16 crap is no good. Good show!

Vice versa. Meters are uneven. Make no sense.
