Got a c8 stingray wish I could get zo6 but that sound on zo6 is not it. At least for me. Reg stingray with it knocking and raspy sound is so much better. They made the zo6 sound like a ricer
@@ColesCarCave They would have to prove the mod directly caused the issue.. But just to be safe, my car had to have the DCT valve body replaced last wk and before I took it in I removed the cats, exhaust, intake and ported throttle bodies,I put it back to totally stock. Lots of work but it only took me about 4hrs..
@@2020matrix8”they have to prove it” *scrambles to put OEM setup back on* I think you answered my question. It completely and certainly does void the warranty when you start talking about catalytic converters. Catback exhaust is one thing, but swapping cats you will lose that warranty claim 10 times out of 10
@@ColesCarCave all depends on your dealership and what kind of relationship you have with them. The service techs don’t get paid to remove modified parts. Therefore it annoys them and sometimes they will say they don’t want to work on your car because of the aftermarket parts but again it all comes down to your relationship with the dealer. They’re not required to tell GM your car is modified unless they want to.
Most the time they won't, a quick tune can fix it if it comes on. (not in this case as there's no tuning software available for the C8Z's.) Depends on the type of cat you install as well. For the soul performance ones in the video, it did not trigger a CEL.

Definitely NEEDED on the C8 Z06. Best mod I've done yet. The power pickup and sound is worth every penny!

The Soul Cats make a huge difference! I’ve been running them with a Titanium Ryft for about 6 months but I’m about to go catless..
Were you not worried about voiding the warranty?

Is there a possibility for a check engine after changing the cats?

Doesn’t this void the warranty?
it's dealer dependent. Would keep the stock cats just in case so you can always put them back on.
