Congratulations May!! Cheers to us for becoming future physicians! The med school process is extremely tough and until one has go through it, it's impossible to fully communicate the stress, the self-doubt, and the anxiety that comes with it! I also agree with you on so many levels. Being a first-gen college student myself, it always feels like a stab in the dark. Finding the right community and mentors were a huge part of my acceptance to med school. Love what you are preaching about mentorship and being there for those who need it. Let's bridge the opportunity gap!

First of all I wanted to say a BIG congratulations ! I am going to be a first gen medical student (hopefully) in the future. I was supposed to apply this cycle for medical school, but I ended up having a lot of medical issues myself & now have to wait until next cycle. It was really disheartening to be pushed back another whole year, but hearing about your journey & personal experience was really helpful for me. I would love to talk with you in the future & get your advice on essays/applications/the process as a whole in addition to watching your video series!

Hi Kelsey, thank you for the kind comment! I’m sorry to hear about your medical issues but glad you decided to prioritize your health before applying. Pursuing medicine is definitely a marathon, not a sprint. Feel free to reach out in the future. Good luck!

I think a single video on going over your application when you have committed would be the most useful to students

Congrats May! Can you do a video on how to nail an interview? I can get pretty nervous and I get scared that I can't impress the interviewer. Any tips on that?

Not criticizing you. Keep in mind applying to the top medical schools with a degree from an Ivy League is a very different experience than applying with nearly perfect stats from the local state school. ;-)
