Note for everyone stumbling on this video now: I took the MCAT after 2 years of a Neuroscience degree and had taken a lot of basic science courses in biology (including biochemistry, molecular biology), general + organic chemistry, psychology, math and statistics, and physics I. Please keep that in mind as I already had a lot of foundational and in-depth knowledge of these concepts, which made my studying a lot easier! This allowed me to speed-read the mcat books for review and integration of concepts (something I talk about in my new study techniques video)! However, I also have to acknowledge that I am a stronger reader, I read fast and am practiced at quick comprehension! Please don’t compare your study needs and practices to mine! We will all do well if we work hard and support each other throughout, good luck❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

"in 2 months" is highly misleading-don't be discouraged if you're starting from scratch and can't do this in two months. It's much different taking the MCAT while in college or just after college vs. studying on your own

I studied for 6 months. I wasn’t pleased with my score so I studied another 3 months...and got the SAME score. Idk how you do it, you’re just naturally smarter😭 it really does take some skill to score that high. Anyways, story has a happy ending cause I’m on my second year of Med school now
Crazy how Khan Academy is so useful in all parts of medicine, I literally use it for my ACP prep too. What an amazing group of people to put out free open source human knowledge like that. Lets be more like that as an entire human race so we can push out more people like this lovely lady, and reduce more of this human suffering we all experience. :)

Not preparing for the MCAT, I am still fascinated by the amount of hard work you put into the test prep. Reviewing those books 4-5 times in 2 months, wow! I thought that's impossible!!! Well, I am preparing for GMAT & CFA L3 at the same time... still nothing comparable to the difficulty level of the MCAT. Anyways... just popping in to say thx! Just needed that motivation.

Honestly, that's how I passed the NCLEX. My first two weeks I went over notes and the last two weeks I did 150 practice questions a day... graduated in early august, took my test in early september and did good considering I got mostly SATA questions. My test shut off at the minimum so I was scared😂 I'm looking forward to going to Med school though! Good luck on your endeavours my friend. I subscribed

I already took the MCAT and though I didn't get 99th percentile, I did pretty well and won't take it again. So I have no idea why UA-cam recommended this video to me. But your advice is great. I used just the Princeton review set, KHAN academy and AAMC resources. I had the same experience as you with the same materials. Great video.
Working and studying in the same time leaves a student about 4-5 hours a day for studying with intense study. If no days off are taken during the 2 months schedule, this means 5hx60 days=300 hours of studying, which includes the full length exams followed by in depth review of the missed questions. So let's say she took only 5 full lenghtsx7 hours, that's 35 hours without reviews, so I will round it up to 50. What's left is 250 hours for studying for all the sections of the MCAT. Now... if I divide 250 by 7 (Biology, Chemistry, ORGO, Physics, Soc/Psy, Verbal, Biochem), I am left with about 35 hours dedicated to each study matter. That should include studying the material, practicing questions, writing down a lot of stuff, reading each book 12 times as she said (she indicated at least 7 books x 12 times, so she read them 84 times during the 2 months)... Something just doesn't sound right... she's either not telling us that she ONLY reviewed the material during these two months, and she actually didn't study, or else it's just realistically not possible. This schedule works only if one is reviewing (and cramming) without actual memorization or understanding of concepts in depth. My advice: NEVER count on only 2 months of study (including the days you want to take full length exams and review them the next day) if you want a good score...

I actually know someone who studied 15 hours a day for 2 months and scored a 525. The biggest piece of advice he gave me was to actually master the concepts in the course that way during review it isn’t as hard.

As an upcoming chem major student, this is really stressing me out, and I don’t even have to worry about it for 2-3 years. But it’s good to know how much time and effort I need to put in, in order to get a decent enough score to apply for med school.
Focus on enjoying your chemistry degree. The rest will fall into place. I was a chem major and fell in love with science, its a beast . It will prepare you for anything!

Wishing so bad I saw this video like two weeks ago. I started a practice exam before I started actually studying. I felt so devastated because shit I was wow I know nothing. The content was so thick. Just yesterday I was reminding myself that i always finish studying everything before I do the actual practice. Needed to here that some else waited to do their practice exams. The Princeton book are super good!
i have to study for the mcat but i just don’t see how you guys buy all of these books and literally memorize/learn every single topic in them while also doing normal human things i just cant
theres no way she went through the 7 books 12 times in two months. in two months, there are 1344 hours. If she were to have slept 7 hours a day for those two months, that 392 hours of her two months gone. that leaves her at 952 hours. 952/12= 79.3. that means she took 79 hours reading the 7 books, spending 11 hours on each one. This is not including the time on the practice exams, taking notes, breaks, resting anything at all, eating, bathroom breaks, showering, brushing teeth, driving, working, etc.
Awesome video! I tried an MCAT prep course with Princeton but it got cancelled twice 🙄. I just went and bought the Princeton content books at Barnes and Noble for a little over $200 and went from there. Def recommend it over Kaplan tho. Congrats on your achievement! Hope everything is going well!

I relate to the Princeton being harder than the actual test. I took the ACT (I'm still a sophomore) with them and got a 24. On the actual Test, without doing any actual studying, I got a 29

Focus on enjoying your chemistry degree. The rest will fall into place. I was a chem major and fell in love with science, its a beast . It will prepare you for anything!

Wishing so bad I saw this video like two weeks ago. I started a practice exam before I started actually studying. I felt so devastated because shit I was wow I know nothing. The content was so thick. Just yesterday I was reminding myself that i always finish studying everything before I do the actual practice. Needed to here that some else waited to do their practice exams. The Princeton book are super good!

i have to study for the mcat but i just don’t see how you guys buy all of these books and literally memorize/learn every single topic in them while also doing normal human things i just cant
I’m still in high school and I used Princeton review to study APs the prac exams were definitely harder but really helpful!!
theres no way she went through the 7 books 12 times in two months. in two months, there are 1344 hours. If she were to have slept 7 hours a day for those two months, that 392 hours of her two months gone. that leaves her at 952 hours. 952/12= 79.3. that means she took 79 hours reading the 7 books, spending 11 hours on each one. This is not including the time on the practice exams, taking notes, breaks, resting anything at all, eating, bathroom breaks, showering, brushing teeth, driving, working, etc.
Have you read an mcat bio book? Or mcat psych book? They are incredibly easy reads. I disagree with you, I think its perfectly plausible.

Awesome video! I tried an MCAT prep course with Princeton but it got cancelled twice 🙄. I just went and bought the Princeton content books at Barnes and Noble for a little over $200 and went from there. Def recommend it over Kaplan tho. Congrats on your achievement! Hope everything is going well!

I relate to the Princeton being harder than the actual test. I took the ACT (I'm still a sophomore) with them and got a 24. On the actual Test, without doing any actual studying, I got a 29
