You can totally tell at 1:05 that there was supposed to be a drum break and the guy only played an eighth note, but it still sounded freaking amazing

Go for tone and musicality in the extreme upper register. Practice lip slurs/trills and scales/arpeggios. Avoid using excess pressure, let your air do the magic for you, because air is free =). Try making your notes a little below your highest note sound really good and come really easy, and your highest notes will come a lot easier and sound a lot better. Do this often and you'll see very good results- I did. I plan on auditioning for bluecoats this fall.

@MusicFr3ak99 youtube com/watch?v=umxPZNkif7U&feature=feedu is where you can find a transcription of the score. I took that and put it on a site called Noteflight for easier viewing and added some things, changed the rhythm a bit so it sounded less choppy and more connected, this also makes it easier to see. But here's the score that I inputted: noteflight com/scores/view/82b682f0ec301fb0acdac12525cca7ce54b47a43

  • @xxzhoutaixx

Not that hard, there have been people that have switched and within 1-2 years they were in a top corps. There was a clarinet player that had never played a keyboard ever and in 2 years she made the Blue Devils. In the Cadets, their voice actor that they hired became so entranced with them that he picked up bari/euph and learned it and joined the corps. It's all up to you, as for me I used to be a sax player and now I'm on tuba. It comes down to how much you want it.

Corps will look for a person that's average but has a hard work ethic and by the end of the season will be great, compared to a person who's above average and has an okay worth ethic and will be a little bit less than great by the end of the season. They can tell who really wants it during the audition process.
