I've had lobster once in my life. In the UK it's fairly expensive so it's definitely a rare treat. As with almost everything in the US though there's complete gluttony and waste. Kids racing to eat lobster in a speed eating competition? Boils my piss.

Only expensive for outsiders. If you are local you can get it from fishermen for around $2.50 a lb..I live in Maine. It's one of the perks..
P.i. Luke Lobsters are rare in Europe. That's why they are shipped by plane from North-East America to Europe. And this shipping cost makes them expensive.
