A Very Happy Birthday to Johnny Mathis! At 82 years young, 9/30/17, he continues to perform and to thrill sell- out crowds. "If We Only Have Love" was composed by Jacques Brel for the 1968 Off-Broadway show, Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris. This performance is from the 1972 "Johnny Mathis in Person (Recorded Live at Las Vegas)" LP. While not available in CD, this is worth owning if you have a turntable or are able to convert to CD. Every song is a treasure.

I just took my girlfriend Cindy to see him in Jacksonville Fl in April..she's been listening to him for her entire life...and had never seen him in concert....needless to say she was blown away by his voice and artistry !! God bless Johnny Mathis !
