Thank you very much for the step by step instructions. It was helpful. (That bottom left 7mm was hard to find. I had to lay on my back on the floor and use a flashlight.) Now I have a new air filter installed. Thank you again.

Can someone give me some advice I have the following problem with my 2011 Ford Mustang with V6 engine:
The alarm system goes off for no apparent reason. I don't know what the causes are. The problem occurs both during the day and at night. I live in Germany and have called a few workshops, but no one really knows what the causes could be. I'm desperate because it's a big problem for me to park my car anywhere because I'm constantly afraid of the alarm going off and people getting upset or complaining.
Can you give me tips on how I can perhaps deactivate the alarm system myself? Is there perhaps a fuse I can pull to turn off the alarm system? I thank you in advance for your help.

Fun fact, the ford fusion is actually a Mazda 6. Ford definitely designed the air filter in dash tho. Fools.

On my 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid the bottom left bolt wasn’t accessible. I couldn’t squeeze my 7mm through the space. Still living with a dirty filter. Returned the new filter back to O’Reilly who were very nice.

Buy an extension that locks and swivels a bit. Might have to get creative with what you put together. Or just take it to shop. I found so much debris on my filter if yours is anywhere as bad you don't want to be breathing that stuff in.
