Oh, just wanted to note that the FCS Pandas team is a team that was created by a ncaa 14 youtuber for one of his dynasties (named Not the Expert, I think?)

Also, not sure if this will find anything in the ether, but there are 4 FCS placeholder schools in the game that effectively act like Rob so rudely described (ha). FCS is the Football Championship Subdivision, whereas all the schools in this game are FBS - Football Bowl Subdivision. It's effectively what used to be Division I-AA schools vs. the big boy Division I-A schools. FCS schools don't play in bowl games and can't qualify for the college football playoff. Instead they have had their own playoff and championship game for far longer than FBS has had a championship game.
Anyway, yes, EA was not going to include all the FCS teams as well with a whole parallel season/scheduling/etc. format, it'd be like a whole second game. So instead they have these FCS amalgam teams to simulate booking a patsy to warm up on.
Oh, and also I believe the FCS team nicknames are borrowed as a nod from the community that kept NCAA Football 14 alive and well all these years who had modded in teams to represent FCS opponents and used these names.
