Genome Guardian is a product of passion - a culmination of everything I love about roguelite shooters, and a novel 'weapon-combining' feature that I've wanted to realize since I was a teenager. Your support will mean content updates and allow me to make more games in the future.

Hey @Idlecub !
Means so much to me that you did a video on the game. I've been very (un)patiently waiting for a genuine UA-camr to cover it. tbh it's honestly such a thrillride being able to watch videos like this - someone playing the game with actual commentary. The stuff you said in this seriously made my day.
Are you the creator? This looks like a simple game. But is anything but. Well done. That's not a small feat to achieve!
@@martinstuvland8620 the Steam page says "Alpherior" is the developer and publisher. So AAAlpherior is probably the same person.
This seems interesting. Hope you play more.
I am a microbiologist and I can testify that these are not microbes
just kidding though, this looks like a very nice game, thanks again for the discovery
@@ExogalacticMushroomQuantumTech In your professional opinion, what the fuck am I looking at boss
@@ravenous3424 I'd say you're tripping balls bro
17:52 Kek, that firerate was a free pass since it gave firerate to C-types... that went extinct the last time you had to pick a debuff.
Man! I wanna play this just for the soundtrack
10:15 The passive is probably for when you mix and match
I believe the reason you felt poor is that you kept buying health. Having more health doesn't make you stronger, it does make you dies slower.
So you ended up in a spiral where you buy health, get left behind the power curve, get more hurt and thus have to buy more health instead of power ups.
Dev here: That's right - best use of the heal button is *after* you've filled all your slots, essentially.
Looks like a fun game! Will get it myself
my stupid ass reading "gnome" guardians and being excited about it.........
I knew I should have made it about GNOMES
@@AAAlpherior New spinoff idea/skinpack coming soon...
I had to stop watching it about halfway through. The screen pulsing was making me physically ill. It started with a headache, which I was ok with, then it started making me dizzy.
With the option to turn it off like you mentioned, I could see myself picking up this game.
me too, the warping menu screen is so disorienting. it feels lie when you get up to quickly with all the blood in your legs
