@@alexmercer5414 in the first game there are these things called animus glitches. When tbey pop up you press a button and you can see yhe confession from a new perspective. Bayek is actually kneeling as they bleed out on the ground. There are not actually giant Assassins standing behind him. Layla is using his dna to view his memories so we are viewing the physical manifestation of his emotions as he eliminates a target. That's why when he killed Flavius Khemu appeared. It wasn't Khemu's ghost. It was his trauma.

I just got a theory: the reason bayek can't send these people to the duat, is because they're souls are already being taken by whatever's in the "curse of the Pharaohs". At 1:40 pthamos says the shards of the star elude us, the shards of the star are things that can be collected in the curse of the Pharaohs DLC, so they are investigating these, so their souls must already be resurrecting from whatever's in the "curse of the Pharaohs"
The curse of the pharaohs was an illusion conjured by Isidora using the Apple of Eden. None of it was real. The Apple conjures what the wielder wants to see. This was explained in Altair's codex in Assassin's Creed 2.

Considering Akhenaten worshipped an Apple of Eden he deems as the Aten or the Sun itself and he became obsessed with Isu stuff no doubt, it's no doubt that after Akhenaten's lost from power, Smenkhkare revived Isu obsession it with the Order of Ancients
@@lazyvoid7107 I don't know why you're questioning a two year old comment but I'll explain anyway In the main game there was an option to toggle your hood and that carried over to cutscenes, which was great and was definitely one of my favorite mechanics. In the dlcs however that option doesn't matter and you're forced to see the cutscenes with your hood down, ubisoft probably did this so you could see the facial animations better but it takes away from the experience as a whole and ruined cutscenes where you wanted to feel like an assassin
