One thing I can love about the newer AC games, specifically Origins and Valhalla, is how the confessions after the assassination are much more cinematic. Not to mention, in some cases, incorporating their respective mythology.
@@00_187 Valhalla certainly tries to be more AC than Odyssey. Sure you still play as a warrior but in fact all of the assassin protagonists use combat a lot. Even AC2 had missions that forced you to fight instead of going stealthy. While I do understand why people think Valhalla is no AC game, I think it certainly tried to go back to the lore a lot more and personally I do want to call it an AC game.

I liked the fact that these death scenes were brought back, but that doesn't change the fact that they are seriously lacking in cinematic elements. They feel soulless. Which is why I'm hoping Mirage brings back the cinematic level of storytelling that was in Origins.

Compared to Unity where the characters just stand around as they confess, in this game there is a lot of movement and action that incorporates the Order member’s personality. Heck, the Arrow puts on a performance and then is metaphorically shot by multiple arrows. And the first guy you kill is set in a shadowy forest while he’s being hung and a crow comes out of his mouth. So I don’t see how one finds it as “lacking in cinematic elements”. Too much koolade perhaps.

Most Valhalla cutscene ended up repeating same animation and more of word rather than acting (example:eivor love to cross his hand in a lot of scene, using same static camera shot and talk a lot of exposition. That is not how you get viewer attention) if you want example of good cinematic cutscene, compare this video with cutscene about eivor and basim talk about basim dead son.
Is just an opinión but I feel the deaths should have been more Gruesome, Like have the one who burned a priest alive, burn and scream of pain, not just become a poof of smoke

Imo, the Memory Corridors are the final confessions between Assassin and Templar. Odyssey didn't even have Assassins yet and the Order (Cult of Kosmos) was barely established.
@@mslmob12 good theory, except Odyssey does also have the Order of the Ancients which too didn’t give the memory corridors. Besides, Haytham, Ezio, Edward, Bayek, Eivor have also had the memory corridors when they were not assassins (yet). So in conclusion, I personally don’t think that is why.

From AC1 to AC Syndicate, it was explained as a glitch in the Animus or something. That is definitely not the case in the RPG titles. I'm willing to be a little lenient and say that Eivor is here because they're an incarnation of Odin, so they have access to Niflheim because of that. I have no explanation to why Bayek and Aya are able to peer into the Duat in Origins though.
This is basically the same "Confession" as any other assassin's Creed games that happens when you assassinated a target. The difference is that Odin is there to Judge eivor's action. And Why Odin? Why a norse god is here? That's because (Spoiler) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Odin is an Isu, or the first civilization, the same as Minerva, Jupiter and other god figures in AC games. Also, Eivor is basically a Sage, the same as Bartholomew in AC IV and Germain in AC Unity. Instead of Aita's reincarnation, Eivor is Odin's reincarnation.

These final words scènes with odin at your side and eivor dropping the cold ass goodbye are very well made
