Great looking reel jimbo I’ve heard great things about the Scorpion 🦂. I’m still in love with my 2018 Daiwa ryoga 1520HL it’s still the smoothest reel I’ve ever used !! Thanks for the breakdown video this was a pleasure to watch.
It is why I haven't bought cdm reels! All my money allocated to spend on cool stuff. I got 2 more JDM stuff sitting here to do some videos on. Both are rods 😉
@ Nice! I just picked up a Shimano Vanquish 1000ssspg, and an Olympic Bellezza UX ultralight for my spinning setup. Crazy awesome reel! It has an ultra sloe oscillation that takes about 10 turns of the handle to get it from start to finish. It was expensive, but you only live once, right?
Yes sir! This is why one must invest their money and let their money earn money! Gonna retire early and just fish lol... Might even retire from YT... See yall lol... Just kidding... Would still make videos of all the fun trips i take!
I bought that reel after my season ended (for throwing spinners and spoons for big Salmon and Steelhead in thr PNW). Spooled with straight 20 lb braid, I was able to throw a 1/16th oz jighead with size 3 hook and a zman TRD on my ML popping rod. It impressed me so much that I purchased the new JDM SLX with the MGL3 spool. First nice Shimano Reels for me and im hooked.
I really like shimano and Daiwa. I buy a reel based on the rod it’s going on. But shimano makes the best high end spinning reels and I’m not talking about the Stella or exsence (both salt water reels). It’s the vanquish. That’s by far the only reel I’ve felt that’s actually butter smooth. I’m not interested in Daiwa’s top end exist. I’ve had their mag sealed bearings go bad quick after a dunk in freshwater. Plus the their line lay isn’t as good.
I have not explored much spinning reels as im more of a fan of BC reels. I do understand the pros and cons and I do have fisheries that would be better when spinning setups are used. I may explore a few spinning for those fisheries, but i can't agree more that Shimano and Daiwa are overall top notch when it comes to fishing reels! Best time to buy!
I have the 101 Scorpion love it.going to start using bigger lures. Have not made my mind up on the 200 or the Scorpion 300 . Is this good for 8in glides.
never used either! Shimano, outside of BFS, is somewhat newer to me. I prefer magnetic braking because it's easier to teach anglers to get into baitcasting and promote the sport of fishing. That said, Sorry i currently cannot compare the difference of the two reels. But i am excited to try the scorp and potentially Tranx if they fit my fishing needs! :)
Can you purchase a mgl spool for the Curado K 200? Will the scorpion mgl spool work in the Curado K 200? The Scorpion seems like it’s the exact same size and shape of Curado K 200
The Scorpion cast much smoother and casts a country mile. I have 3 Curado's 2-200 size and 1-150 size and they all 3 will backlash if I cast very hard. The 150 Curado is a little better than the 200 Curado but the Scorpion I can cast pretty hard with no problem. I just lost another Scorpion DC paired with a 6'10" Shimano Expride B fishing lake Lanier. That was a painful loss.
Not really fond of DC reels. But as another viewer have commented, I do realize that not all of the reels sports the latest and greatest DC module. It is so interesting that they would still trickle down the older braking modules to lower end models while the higher end gets the latest and greatest. They should just can the rest of em obsolete ones! RIP expensive setup!
@rawrfishing I really like the Scorpion DC and I'm wanting to get the Aldebaran DC once it is released but truthfully I'd rather throw my Dawia reels than the Curado DC.
Big-ups on the vids Jimbo. You got me into bfs hover strolling for trout and pan fish & I’ve been slaying them all season.
Nice! It's a fun way to fish and killer method that just makes em want it!

Me too and I can't wait to see how it does! Thx for watching
Very good-looking reel. Looking forward to seeing you pull in some big ones with it. Come on, spring time fishing. Be blessed. My friend.
Yes sir! It's gonna be a fun early season! I can't wait for it to thaw out!
Good looking reel, Jimmy! I've taken advantage of the falling yen way more often than I'd like to admit! 😂🎣

i really like the SVS infinity system. I trying to get rid of my older shimano reels that doesn't have it (Centrifugal braking reels only of course)

Looking foreward to get mine the next days.
Sweet! Killer price! What u using it for?
@rawrfishing I will use it for bigger stickbaits
Ooozzz... Examples of what you throw and what for?

I think if ur gonna throw up to 2 oz lures... This should do it. But I'd go 300 if ur into the 3 oz range and up.
Gotta get 1 asap. Great price at 164$
Get it before spring starts!
Waiting for others .... I bought the hg and sold it untouched . Please make a field test video also
Oh? Why did u sell it so quickly? I will definitely show the day I take this reel out! Hopefully soon!
What are your thoughts on scorpion vs TranxB

How long did shipping take you to get to the states? Just curious
A week or week and half. FedEx is fast!
@@rawrfishing sweet just put in an order and gonna test it out in the Florida inshore and see how it does
Nice! Enjoy digitaka! It will get u poor.. But quality of JDM stuff would actually let u save... Especially now with yen down!

It is possible... But not sure. I tried swapping the Conquest spool with this and it didn't work.
Hello there, can you recommend me an online store that sells jdm baitcasters.
Link in the desc 👍👍👍
It's a great store
Scorpion is more closer to the Tranx not Curado anymore
Is that so? I need to check that out
@@rawrfishingyes because the scorpion can do saltwater fishing too; like the tranx, but not the Curado
I don't think I will use this specific reel for salt. But it's good to know!
I have a Scorpion DC and Curado DC and my Scorpion is much better than the Curado.
Oh really? That's making me excited, what's better about it if you dont mind sharing
