Hey folks! As mentioned in this video Cheslin is currently working his way through his law degree. There is an active fundraiser if you'd like to help him through his studies. I've never interacted with Cheslin and no pressure, but it would be incredible for us to help restore his faith in the goodness of humanity. The link can be found here - gogetfunding.com/help-cheslin-marsh-get-his-law-degree/
The campaign is led by a journalist who had the opportunity to interview Cheslin and create an excellent documentary based on the events of May 27th.
You can also help the Hannah Cornelius Foundation, which supports children and youth who are vulnerable to violence here. HCF is registered and confirmed to be a non-profit organisation - hcfoundation.org.za/
Edit: Cheslin's fundraiser has reached its target! You folks are incredible!! ✨

I wish all banks, everywhere on earth, had an emergency ‘fake password’ policy, a password that would allow the person to withdraw money, but would immediately alert police that the card has been stolen. If authorities act fast enough to track the perpetrators, even lives might be saved.

The only thing is, once they are aware this exists, they will work around it . It’s like people now knowing there are cameras at cash points and therefore thieves wear hats or cover their faces .
Or people now turning their mobile phones off because they realise they can now be tracked by phone masts.
There was a time when people didn’t realise fingerprints could identify them, now they always wear gloves.
I feel like something like this needs to be implemented but not publicised.

I think in cases like this an eye for an eye is a more apropiate punishment. The right measure here would be either the death penalty on the electric chair, or life in prison with either daily torture or extensive fizical labor. Those people have nothing in common with what it means to be human, they are monsters without any remorse and they deserve to be treated as such.

But that's how poorly our system is designed. I don't understand how there isn't a better way.
I mean, there is. We could just execute people like this, who aren't worth the oxygen they breathe. But people who aren't involved got feelings and opinions, and politicians can utilize that for greater stagnation.
It's bullshit. In a case like this, the only people who should have any fucking say over what happens with these people are the victims families, and if the victims families want an eye for an eye - kill those fucking trash bags.

Prisoners should not have more rights than the people they killed or maimed.

OMG! Adrian - I AM SO PROUD! I always knew you and the people that watch this channel were the best. Cheslin's campaign had been up for 20 days and wasn't even halfway to the goal. In less than 6 hours of you posting this video - it is 105% funded... and still going strong! It still has just over 11 days to go! Congrats to everyone on here! There are still great people out here who care. So often the sadness and horror of these stories are the only things we see, and the shadows of the evil monsters who lurk among us. Thanks to everyone here, this is a shining example of the power of people refusing to to let the darkness win, and adding light back into to the world. Keep donating everyone! I am sure he likely still has medical bills and therapy (past, present, and future). Let's all help make Cheslin's life while he is in school - the easiest, and worry free as it can be. Although I agree. I'd say life imprisonment is a death sentence. It's just a prolonged sentence. With the death sentence they do jail time and then eventually have a date set for their death. But with life, they have to live every single day with what they've done until their very last breath. In my opinion I think that is the best way for justice to be served. Why should they get a death sentence that causes no pain and then stops their suffering when they're the causes for pain and suffering from crimes they've committed. They didn't show signs of morals, humanity and mercy upon Hannah or Cheslin. So why should they get an easy death when they had to endure such pain in their by those men and take the life of one of them and leave the other for dead. Even Hannah's mother suffered in her end because of the actions of these men taking her little girl away.
But that's just my opinion. I guess everyone has their own view on justice and peace. All comes down to what the lasting families feel is right and what will bring them closure.

I absolutely agree. You often hear people say that they'll suffer in prison and thats worse but thats just not true. Most people that go to prison for long periods of time settle into life in prison just fine, living a fairly normal life other than not being able to leave. They develop relationships, have fun and still get to feel the love of their family. The death penalty is absolutely what someone deserves in cases like this. They don't deserve to live a long life breathing air even laughing and having one more good day. With regular hardworking people supporting them for the rest of their lives never having to worry about where they'll get their next meal, or hot shower or warm bed...

This story hit home when it happened here as I live only 40 minutes away from Stellenbosch. So scary, it sat with me for weeks after as it was such a big story here. And bawled my eyes out during this whole video😥. But thank you for covering this story so well Adrian. ❤️

this is so heartbreaking story. Poor darling Hannah....... she did not deserve to die. What a horrible people who killed her, no empathy, like evil zombies. This story made me cry, it is so sad and trully horrific. Sending much love to Hannah's family, they must be so affected by her death. And dear Hannah, we remember you, we know your name, we know your story, dear angel, rest in peace 🕊

Can imagine Cheslin carries some serious unwarranted guilt about accepting the ride home though it was pretty much insisted. Horrible case. Good for him for facing them at trial, hope it gave him a semblance of closure.

True, we need to teach our children because they were very naive to be that time of the morning at a isolated place basically not being aware of their surroundings. With a locked car and closed windows she could have driven away.
This is a tragedy. Rip to her.

@@memewithinameme35 Yes and no. The underlying problem is diversity. Diverse socieites are discordant, and western European countries that are embracing diversity by accepting so many immigrants are going to destroy their own countries. The whites in South Africa created everything in the country. Before they were there, there was nothing. No roads, no bridges, no hospitals, no technology, nothing. So Apartheid didn''t take anything away from the local natives. It didn't steal anything from them. Not saying it was the best system, but the difference in advancement between the European settlers and the natives was so vast that it was reasonable for the Europeans to not just give everything they were making to the local natives. Anyway, any country is better off when homogeneous. Every ehtnic group and race should have their own country.
