The Art of Lens Adaptation: Using an Old Nikon Wide Teleconverter on Vintage Glass
Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 чер 2023
- This Nikon Wide Teleconverter was used to magnify the focal length of select Nikon Coolpix cameras by 0.68x. But the threaded mount left me wondering: Will it work on some vintage lenses or even modern lenses? This older teleconverter is available for budget prices today on the used market. This adapter was made to be used with COOLPIX 5000, 4500, 4300, 995, 990, 950, 910, 900, 885, 880, 700, etc.

I think it looks very interesting
I am thinking about using a wide angle converter like this to replace mist filters for night video, as the edges look quite misty.
I think it's good to experiment with photography and videos. Try different things and see what you can come up with. It's like cooking, or music. You try different ingredients to make a dish, and see how it turns out. With music, you try a different technique, or approach to what you are playing, and you see what happens. Thanks for sharing this. Cheers, Gregg! ✌️🇨🇦
Well said, Dwayne!
I think it is nice to use old adapters. It certainly gives a different look. It seems to focus on the main subject in the center of the frame.........Take care, Bluefin.
Thanks. Not sure what the focal length sweet spot is for this converter yet. Guess I will keep experimenting which is fun anyways. Take care 🤟
