This is SO exciting! Finally in! I love how Austin is modeling how a dog looks in each of the rooms. The floors are gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Tell me, where do the knee pads fit in to your 10 item spring wardrobe? ha ha. All kidding aside, you new home looks beautiful and it's been such a treat to come along with you every week on this journey of renovating and labor of love! Congratulations, happy Sunday, and God bless. p.s. I had commented mid-video, so just wanted to let you know, cuticle oil helps so incredibly much. I too have peeling, bendy, weak nails and like you, polish tends to make my nails worse. But when I'm good about massaging oil throughout the day, what a difference! Cuccio's is a favorite of many and for good reason, but any oil that your skin likes, will do!

Congratulations on the the move Robin and family! When my nails began peeling a couple of months ago, I started using cuticle oil with jojoba and almond oils (solar oil) and it has been an amazing change! I "polish" with the oil each evening and massage in. Have a great week! Can't wait to see the kitchen countertops!

Great video; can’t wait to see your new home unfold. I’m so impressed with all the work you all do yourselves. Whenever I move I always try and get rid of all the boxes as quickly as I can. I put stuff generally where I think I want it and then like you said go back later and adjust for efficiency and function. And I would also stop and vacuum like you!

Hi Robin - I usually watch your videos before SS in the morning and know its time to get up and get ready when its over. Then I will comment when I get home from church but today I wanted to comment before getting ready. Don’t you just love our Texas Bluebonnets? So fun you have some on your property. That garage looks amazing. I am sure that was a big attraction to your new place. I was amazed how spacious your bedroom turned out to be. I could never get on my knees like you did even with the pads. Of course, you are a lot younger than me. I remember doing all those kinds of things when I was younger. Yes, take your time in getting the furniture and headboards etc. There is no rush and after all these years of watching you I know you are level headed and do what makes sense for you and your family. I am sure you are so much happier with the commute to Peyton’s (or is it Payton?) work. Soon that will feel like home. I would watch you no matter where you lived. Of course, I love all the homemaking content but even more I love your personality and your love for the Lord. You have been a blessing to me and I feel like you are a friend. Love in Christ.

Hi Robin, been watching your videos for about a week or so, and am loving your channel!! I got a really good look at your new floors in the new house in this video - I think y'all said you were looking at "engineered" floors due to the concrete slab in your home. While we don't have that situation, I am VERY interested in learning about your new floors, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the color! Not too light nor too dark. Could you please tell us more about the floors - what is the brand, color, plank width(s), manufacturer, etc so any of us interested could look it up for more info? I just had the carpet and tile removed from most of our main floor and we're living on the wood subfloor just to see how we like it. I disliked the tile (in our long foyer hall & foyer half bath) as it made my feet cold such that it went right up into my ankles and made my ankles ache. Also finding that the vinyl flooring in our kitchen does pretty much the same thing - too cool for my feet for this southern girl who loves being barefoot, or just socks, in the house! We're really enjoying the wood of the subfloor, so wood will be our choice for replacing all our floor materials. This might be the answer to what to put down, as regular hardwood would affect too many places in a way we wouldn't like (like decreasing the space under the edge of the kitchen and bath cabinets to the floor). Thanks so much. Looking forward to watching more of your videos as I learn something in each and every one of them! I even bought a new iron and ironing board from your Amzn store, I liked them so much (and mine are very old, too)!

How exciting to finally be in your new place with all your furnishings. I have a very similar (I thought it was the same) red tribal rug, very old, which I almost sold, but glad I didn't. We also have very similar floors to yours. They are Hallmark Alta Vista in the color Del Mar I think. We love love the color. They have darkened just a tad over the years, but they are still beautiful. Our flooring manufacturer advises against a steam mop for our particular floors, which bummed me out. Hi Robin. In a word...WHEW!!! The excitement I feel for you are a) Some new furniture and art pieces, b) Getting used to the amazing functionality of IKEA kitchens, and c) single floor living, which will be totally my jam as my condo is contained on a single floor AFTER a 15 stair schlepp. Blending the new with the familiar - thumb's up all the way. One question I wondered was, what does Austin make of his new neighbors? New playmates? What fun it will be for all of you. Now if you had only trained him to help you unpack....Happy trails! Pat

My husband and I are 77 and 73 years old. We live in Florida but it just gets too too hot in the summer so we have leased a 1 bedroom apartment in our old hometown in Pa. for the summer and to come home for the holidays.I'm certainly not looking forward to the packing and unpacking things we want to take north with us. We do plan to pack our clothes and ship them via UPS so we don't have them taking up room in our SUV that we need for other things. We will have to buy furniture and we're hopeing to get most of it at second hand type stores. The apartment is a small one bedroom so it will not require much furniture. Until a few years ago we had a camper so we still have things like linens, dishes,pots & pans etc from when we sold the camper. I just have to dig them all out of the attic and pack them. I never imagined that at this age I would be moving again.(sigh) But I'll be happy to spend the summer in our hometown and then back to the warmth and sunshine of Fl. after Thanksgiving.

Hello Robin - I was intrigued by the command hooks on the back of the night stands. I believe you said it was for phone chargers. Maybe a dumb question - but I assume it is to keep the cords from falling behind the furniture? Do they just drape over the hooks? Please advise if there is more to this. I need a good hack for dealing with charging cords, lol.

So happy you are moved in and getting settled. We move in about a month! This is just less than two years after our last move! But we are so our excited about the home we bought! Our work is sort of flipped though because we were in the middle of remodeling our masterbath and will need to finish that project. It was a total gut job my husband was doing himself as we weren't really planning on moving! Lord willing, this will be our last move!

Watching you bring your new house together had been a treat for me. I’m curious about your comment that your new house was unfurnished. Every house I ever bought was unfurnished - I wouldn’t want it my other way - and we would never leave furniture at the old house. I donated anything I didn’t want to bring with me. Is it a common practice where you live?

You are amazing. You get so much done so orderly.. when I've moved before it was just chaos. I love how your new home is coming along. You ironing the sheets reminded me of my first chore. Getting the sheets off the clothesline and getting the sprinkler bottle of water and ironing all the sheets and pillow cases. I loved the smell of the fresh sheets with the heat of the iron. Good memories.
Robin, Taking collagen daily has helped with my nails and I have seen an increase in hair growth as well. Enjoy your new home.

I see you left your old washer and dryer at the old house. If you are looking for a new set, I can recommend Speed Queen! They are top loading, all metal parts, come with a long warranty and don’t have all the fancy electronics that go out on other machines.

Love this video. I love you because you are so "real." You are creating a new home for yourself in your new stage of life. A lot of people couldn't go from your beautiful home, to a scale down fixer upper. You are doing it with such grace and class. I love that you really show us what you are doing. I have to say though, I was a tiny bit disappointed we didn't get a new recipe hahah. Everyone of yours that I have tried, are awesome. I have a daughter that follows you too, and she is vegan, and loves your recipes. l can hardly wait to see your kitchen.

It boils water like in 30 seconds, but then you have to fiddle with it to decide what temp you need You will love the fast clean up though. Thanks again. We love you
