very good review blood but really the driving sucked in the first. It felt as if the cars were on ice. And trust me I was one of the fews that really liked the first one.
gameplay is good but holy hell do the characters and dialogue kill it for me, they try so hard to be cool but it just fails, i don´t remember a game where it was cringe worthy out the ass like this one is, gameplay is cool tho so if you think you can suffer through the characters check it out

Played this in 2021 and it's such a fun game with some satisfying mechanics that allow you to experiment and improvise. Something that's sorely lacking in games today. Watchdogs 1 may have been dissappointing but this an AC 1 to AC 2 leap in quality and ambition. Hats off to ubisoft for pulling it off.
This game is just purely fun. If you go in with the idea of just having fun and messing around in a game world that has characters with light hearted attitudes, I think you'll like it. It's a mix between GTA and Saints Row where the game is realistic enough but has it's ridiculous moments.
Looks like this is exactly what I was hoping for. Keeping the base mechanics but improving on everything. Like ho Assassin's Creed felt a tech demo for Assassin's Creed 2.
Depends on when they get the game. Still small fries in that way. Also, quality vs quantity is something the Allies have harped on before; they don't plan on putting out reviews unless they are ready, regardless of time. At the same time, they are always conscious of that stuff and don't purposefully drag their feet.
I've been playing the last few days and totally agree with this review, its a great enjoyable game that seems to have a unique feel, a huge improvement over the first game
7/10 for me......story line is very lacking and the world feels too gamey and take (fewer people than real SF and they don't do much). Gameplay was the best part.
Very nice shot-selection, Brandon & Blood. I was about to listen to the review while playing my 3DS, but I was captivated by all the nice, comely cars being corrupted and destroyed.
the protagonist from the first one was so bland and unmemorable that i dont even remember his name and i played the game for 20 fucking hours, hopefully these guys can make me care about what happens in the story great review allies!
Marcos doesn't pull out guns to take on people, the player does that. It's all up to the player, you're in control of the character. I find that I use guns on gang members but none lethal on cops, security guards and other folks. The option is there, cause if it wasn't, gamer's would have something else to bitch about. But it doesn't mean you have to operate that way and play against type.
This is some amazing editing, Jones! Awesome review, Blood! You did a great job highlighting how this game differs from other Ubi games, and you really captured the purpose of the game and reviewed it accordingly. If I'm looking for a new sandbox in the future, Watch Dogs 2 is definitely high on the list.
Why does every video of this game have horrible screen tearing? I have been playing this on ps4 and noticed almost none. Could it be an issue the game has with capture software?
So it looks like this, along with Titanfall 2, should have been the first game in the series. It's nice to see developers putting in effort to improve their sequels.
I'd say the main game's ending seemed a little lacklustre, and a bit unsatisfying. The main missions create so much build up only for nothing big to happen. I also miss Aiden's ability to cause a citywide blackout, I don't think it's a feature in no. 2--But yeah, it's a major improvement from the first.
Thanks guys for the review! Another great review written by Bloodworth, narrated by Brandon. When I get my 1st paycheck, I will become a patreon! I owe you guys so much for having watched all your content over the years back at GT studios.

Good to see WD2 did better than the last, was a huge fan of the last game despite it's many flaws on PC. As a PC gamer though, kinda sucks we're still waiting for our version, hopefully the wait is worth it. And it also sucks that we'll have to wait to see if the PC version isn't riddled with performance issues and bugs that couldn't be squashed even with extra dev time. If there's a sale or a deal for WD2 closer to $30 I'll bite early.
I like that you can ride slides like that one at 4:00 in this game! I loved doing stuff like that when I was small, so I will probably do that alot in this game! :D
Absolutely great review by Daniel, you pin pointed every single thing in this review very good :) felt like they where my words actually :) Easy Allies best review channel period :)
I'd personally like this game so much more if they didn't add weapons. It just doesn't fit with what they try to tell with the story when the main protagonist simply kills everyone in his sight. Instead they could have added more gadgets (or at least more stuff like the stun gun).
I liked the refreshing change of style of open worldness but locking some of the skills under annoying collectables is a bit of a lame thing to do. But other than that it's a laugh wanting to see what happens next in each act :)
I don't care about the lives of enemy NPCs, I have no qualms with using lethal weapons in Watch Dogs 2 (as I haven't really with any videogame so far).
Great review Blood. I've finished it, badly want the multiplayer unlocked so can play the hide and seek mini game. I played it alot in Watchdogs 1. Having to hide and have a heart attack when your target gets close to your hiding spot lol.
Now correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think Watch Dogs 2 has been downgraded either. It looks exactly the same as the original demo. Makes a nice change :)
I feel that the review score fits the game. Shame that the online is busted for now but the single player is still enjoyable enough to ignore. it is a much better game than the first.
Sean Placker It is a review, I wanted a mention of the graphics in a review form. You moron. That is what a review does. It reviews aspects of the work to put in context of quality.
The first game had so much hate, but after playing it after a year later, I thought it was a fine game, though way too repetitive and stopped playing because the main mission we're the same as side missions most of the time. EnduringArts I know all that, actually pretty much every Ubisoft games we're like that at the beginning of this generation, all samey and downgraded. Personally I think The Division is the worst of the bunch. With that said, if you take a step back, the games aren't that bad, just not worth the full tag price and if you into them with 0 expectations (I played AC Unity a few months ago and had a blast and I don,t even like AC...).
WD2's gameplay design is pretty simple in that you hack and stealth/shoot your way through. But that's where the repetitiveness ends. What makes the missions fun to play is that all the locations are very unique and detailed. At least from what i've experienced so far. There's no copy and paste buildings here.
On your, "We'd no problem with the driving in the first game.", it was pretty terrible, one of the most annoying things in the game. (Particularly when the game in general had mostly very nicely modelled vehicles.) In particular, many of the higher powered cars were nearly undriveable at any decent speed, which is a problem in a game with lots of general driving and car chases. It was one the things i also heard many others giving out about the most in the game. Of this game, i've heard another reviewer say that the driving is somehow both better and worse than in the first game. Further to the actual driving physics, others problems with the first games' vehicles were that they sounded to be made of plastic whenever you collided with anything - i can't really tell if that has changed in this game. One disappointing thing that doesn't look to have changed from the first game is its' low texture, poorly animated, if at all, dashboard/in car view. Lastly, before this comment gets very long (while ye said that ye tried to use guns as little as possible, the first game had plenty times you'd no choice but to use them and i'm sure this game has its' fair share of shooting sections) is the first games' guns and general shooting mechanics. It was very disappointing that it had no way to improve/add attachments to your weapons and that there was no way to aim down sights or zoom in your weapons' view outside of the sniper rifles - more things i can't tell whether they've changed from your or other reviewers' footage :_ .
TheHuntrex Like i said in my first comment, driving was the thing that people reviewing or just talking about the game gave out about the most. There are many long forums threads with titles like, "The thing i want fixed the most in Watch Dogs is the driving/vehicle physics" etc :_ .

What are the coop sections? Are the a few select missions, or are they the main campaign?

At the end? Just the main menu theme and a mission track. Done by Hudson Mohawke which its why its pretty distinct :)
