The dog curled up beside the owner’s body and just laid there.

In AC3 I jumped off a roof once and landed with my blades out on a dogs head and killed it 😅 I was 13 back then and it kinda traumatized me 😂😂😂👀

Watch Dogs 2 was one of my favourite games. I don't beat a lot of games these days but I beat the pants off this one, and spent many hours just taking down bad guys by calling gang members on them, then calling the police on the gang, resulting in a 3 way firefight.
The gang/police mechanic was so good I can't fathom why they got rid of it in Watch Dogs Legion

Honestly WD2 is pretty dark when it wants to be, not in the presentation but in the themes, I think a big point of the game is the idea of masks that everyone uses to hide something, the big corporations like ctOS appear clean and perfect to the public while DedSec is just pure punk, is the idea of rebellion turned artistic and into self-expression, all these people want freedom and want a better world but refuse to let the darkness consume them, and we see what happens if you let that darkness take hold in many of the cutscenes, that being side, this is a videogame so yeah fair point lol, I just love the game and I feel calling it just bright is kind of a disservice to what it actually does

Watch Dogs 2 and Sleeping Dogs were both heavily slept on that everyone is just now seeing what they missed, if they made a remake for both these games like Resident Evil 2 I'd pay whatever price they give out

Heavily underrated. Their version of Chicago is one of the few open worlds that I've had my brain come back to craving to walk its streets once more for no other purpose than to roam it. It's actually just having fun!
Also the radio soundtrack is a BOP! People who were introdued to The Polish Ambassador this way know what I'm talking about

This game is my second favorite game of all time right behind RDR2. The memories I have with this are all amazing, the world is alive, thriving and beautiful, the graphics hold up to this day, the story is fun and interesting, the side content and DLCs (which I own all of them) are fun as well and really brings the world to life and adds to the story, the online is still surprisingly thriving and the player base is not toxic and fun to play with, the parkour is great and very well done similar to Unity in a way, the vehicles are cool and there are plenty to choose from, and it has so many outfit options and I also own all the outfits that you can buy because they're all just great, the hacks are fun and have a nice variety and are very engaging, the emotes are entertaining, so many weapons to choose from, just everything is amazing and the game has so much variety. And the characters are amazing Marcus, Josh, Wrench, T-Bone, Horatio, Sitara are all amazing characters I've fell in love with every time I play it since the game dropped. And Dušan is a very good antagonist, he's got charm to him. EVERYTHING is an improvement over the first Watch Dogs and I love WD1 but wow this game blows it out of the park. I've beat this game only 4 times in 8 years because I love to cherish it and play it slowly and when I beat it I still play for months cause I have so much fun just exploring and taking in this beautiful world. I wish I could play this game for the first time again. Oh and the music and soundtrack is just phenomenal the original music fits perfectly and the in game songs on the radio are all great and also for PERFECT in the game. Also the fact that I can make a playlist with all the games songs is INSANE and is improved on from WD1. I wish games like GTA did that too it's such an amazing feature. Like I wouldn't care if my game took an hour to load I could lay in bed and listen to the loading screen track for hours while looking at the beautiful art and the nice little animation in the middle. Ubisoft truly out did themselves with this game and I will forever love and defend it. The ONLY negative thing I can say about this game is that it doesn't have multiple game save options so when you start a new game the previous save is gone forever, there are a few things I wish it had like a morality system but I'm not gonna fault it for that. But I also don't mind restarting because it's an amazing and fun experience that I will forever enjoy. I've been playing it for 8 years and I'm still not bored. There's new details I notice almost every time I play it, in my opinion the game is a masterpiece. Also as someone with Asperger's I really vibe with Josh, Ubi really did a good job at displaying Asperger's.

I agree with what u said, it blows my mind when ppl try to slander it and call it bad because imo watch dogs two is better than gta 5. epically watch dogs two with scripthook, you can mod everything and make it even more customizable, I used to use a double monitor setup and just roam around the bay area listening to that Casey veggies sauna song on the radio in first person for hours lmao. that's probably half of my hours on wd2 worth, and I've played this game everywhere and on everything , my laptop at school during lunch, on my ps4 and xbox. and where I originally started on pc. it's crazy because I only started playing watch dogs 2 around 2021 when I was quarantined and I fell in love with it. I would watch videos for hours of of the ATM hacks and people fucking with the npcs back when it released but I never ended up buying it although i played wd1 back in 2014 and I recently replayed the story and out of both I think wd2 is the best out of the series , for story wd1 but wd2 solos in anything else. the vibrance of wd2 itself astonished me how they managed to make such a vibrant and beautiful game while still making it cartoony and realistic at the same time. this comment is something that I've managed to feel but not been able to explain it but you explained it perfectly.

That's one of the most punk things about the game, honestly I'm amazed by how well understood the concept of ''punk'' was by the developers, punk is a refusal of the clean and boring corporative aesthetic and a call for freedom, the game is very punk in that sense
As someone who still plays Watch Dogs 2 on xbox game pass I can confirm that its hella good especially the online game modes like bounty hunter

Wholeheartedly agree. I loved WD2 specifically because of the characters. They literally made the game for me... so imagine how disappointed I was when I got Legion and found out the whole point is theres no fucking main characters. I was so upset.

@@Medardusai Only Wrench was like that and he got big emotional moments, each character was a different facet of what DeadSec meant and what it tried to achieve, you had the artist, the tech-wiz, the truly antisocial and the idealistic leader, each one of them made up the whole of what DeadSec meant, much more than just lunatics and psychopaths if you ask me
I'd love for you to do complete this game and try Legion since you know playing bad games is kinda your thing

Watch Dogs 2 was underrated. Such a fun game.
To be fair I remember reviews at the time this game launched and nobody was calling it a GTA clone.
The opinion was that its got its own vibe, a much more alive world than GTA V and possibly a more interactable world thanks to the many gameplay systems that work together
WD2 was called "the anecdote machine" and man. yeah.
i still remember stuff i did all these years later. The main story and characters were "meh" and the writers were unfamiliar with ludonarrative dissonance but it was fun and unique
They felt like the nerds they were supposed to be to me. But in hindsight, they could have been tuned down just a little.

Crazy timing, just started my Watch Dogs 2 playthru, alot of people still going hard on the Ps4/Ps5 in online 2024, this game will never die and i truly believe that.
The city of San Francisco and its people is truly the highlight of the game. The soundtrack is also a big win
Watchdogs 2 was such a good time. And the parkour had the AC Unity levels of animation that made it so fluid
I think I only really loved a couple things about watch dogs 2, being able to call in hostile forces to deal with all the guards without you having to lift a finger, and then the invasion mode with other players. Lot's of players would dress up super super flashy and stick out like a sore thumb, where I would dress like the npcs and try to blend in, leading to some interesting cat and mouse scenarios with me being stealthy, and them just running around randomly gunning down civilians and blowing things up.
this game was underated man i remember playing this game a few yrs after it came out after getting the xbox one and this game holds a special place in my heart. also marcus & wrench & Horatio were the best characters

I always come back to this game. Finishing it for the third time this year and it's even more fun now that I have a solid understanding of the upgrades and gameplay elements.
I LOVED this game. Near 100%d it. There isn't much to do once you complete it but the world and the way the NPC acts and even how he shoots the animations are superb and feels more alive then GTA V
5:20 I had the exact same thing happen to me like 10 minutes into the Ghost Recon Wildlands beta, got my truck stuck in a tree. Still have the screenshots of it, it was hilarious.

honestly the title "I finally Watch Dogs 2 after eight years" is a REALLY funny
Watch dogs 2 is fun, but it seems like they made the map too large for the amount of content they had. Like outside of missions GTA has random encounters and such to really fill in the cracks where some areas end up feeling empty, but Watch Dogs never really had that (at least not to that extent) so it just felt like there wasn't a lot to find or do while exploring.

Watch Dogs 2 is awesome I played the game back in 2017 and I loved it so much, I don't remember much about the story but I really like the style of the game.
This is the only Watch Dogs series I ever love so far.

Honestly Watch Dogs 2 is still one of my favourite games, I still need to get the platinum for it,,, the only ones I'm missing are the online ones. I platinumed Watch Dogs Legion because I actually really liked the game, and then there's the first game. Meh. I just couldn't get into it, especially after my game bugged out so I was stuck in a container. Luckily my game saved right outside of it tho, even if I barely continued after that. Maybe I'll try it again sometime, I really liked Aiden in Bloodline

Watchdogs 2 had better hacking/tools. But Watchdogs 1 was better in every other way. The morality system was great, cuz citizens might not call the cops if they support the vigilante.

Watch dogs 1 and 2 were both really good, 2 undeniably more than 1. It's a shame that everyone expected GTA: Another One with all the GRAFIX so people wrote this franchise off in a heartbeat
Depends on what you like out of games. 1 had the better characters, story, gun play and take downs as well as blackouts and the slowMo . 2 had better hacking and parkour.
