  • What is the best tasting grain in my opinion? Absolutely, Kamut®! This amazing, certified organic and unmodified wheat was grown right here in the US in Montana, but most of the crops were going to Italy where they have very high quality standards and also needed a lower gluten wheat for health purposes.
    When my mom, Liz found a delicious, white Kamut flour at a pizzeria in Italy, she knew that she had to take action.
    This is the story of how we found the wheat and knew we had to share it with you.

    FAQ: IS KAMUT® FLOUR GLUTEN FREE?
    Kamut® flour is NOT gluten-free, but has often been found to affect people differently than typical flour gluten. Some studies have shown that Kamut® flour and products might be more digestible for people who experience symptoms of gluten intolerance.

    I am here in Toronto, Canada. I've been using it for over 20 yrs. All our health stores and bulk stores have it.

    I honestly can’t bake with or eat any other flour now. It’s been a couple of years now and there’s no going back. My wheat “sensitivity” no longer exists with the Kamut. I love the taste, texture versatility and healthfulness of THIS Kamut. I grind the berries for my whole wheat and there is nothing that matches the taste and quality. Thanks FN and FN-OG 💕

    What a beautiful story and I didn't know it originated in my country of Italy 🇮🇹!!! Us wheat is sprayed with Folic Acid so bad for us! I get sick also it's all fortified and enriched with folic acid and a fake folic acid.

    I mill my own and use it for pancakes, waffles, cookies, and pasta but can’t say it tastes any different than any other grains. Pretty yellow though.

    Can this flour be used as a batter for frying?

      Yes, absolutely! You can use this wheat like any other. It has a little more density so it sometimes require slightly more water or milk in your mixture. Just adapt by texture and feel.

    What is the difference between your whole wheat and the all purpose white?

      The all purpose white has the bran removed from the whole grain after milling so it's finer.

    I have been getting tested for celiacs disease off and on for past 5 yrs, this only flour my abdomen is happy with. My husband need to watch fat, sugar, salt to lot of issues but only flour that keeps him satisfied and when people try it from us they say it taste like cake

      Love to hear that! So many have had a similar experience. Each case is unique and different so we can’t promise anything, but so often Kamut is a real option for sensitive people.

    You say it is naturally enriched…what do you mean specifically? Is it treated with folic acid?

      Great question. It's not treated with anything, it just naturally has the higher nutrient value and digestibility.

      Thank you. We totally understand that. As we show the potential farmers how much demand we really have, more of them will be interested in planting the Kamut. We just have to work at building it since other grains took over for so long. Your support means everything. :)

    What is the difference between your whole wheat and all purpose white?

      Just like in Red or White Wheat, the Kamut has a Whole grain flour containing all of the bran, and our all purpose white Kamut that has the bran removed. Both are excellent and mild for baking.
