I’m very concerned about wheat farmers in the USA spraying wheat, corn, rye, sorghum, barley etc with “ Glyphosate “..the active ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup Herbicide. It is not only sprayed for weed control, but as a desiccant to kill the wheat plant so it will dry earlier for a higher yield. I’ve recently thrown out everything that contained wheat that was not “USDA-Certified” ( ie no use of herbicides). Two sources of my whole grains now come from “Bluebird Grain Farms” and “ Palouse” ...both family owned operations here in Washington State....they do not use glyphosate or any other pesticides/herbicides. I’ve begun milling my own flour as well, which retains all the nutrients that will go right into your baked goods. The nightmare glyphosate has caused us can be reversed ...right in our kitchens.

Pre-watch: Kamut is a brand name for khorasan wheat (Triticum turgidum, subspecies turanicum). The form you've in front of you at the start of the video could be thrown into a raked or disked field as soon as the ground is workable (soil temperature = 2°C) and grown as a spring wheat.
"Scientists believe" is outdated terminology. You could instead use "the latest science available to me shows".

@maka…no it doesn’t have any other things in it. It’s a type of wheat. I buy the Kamut ‘berries’ at my favorite coop. It’s almost 2x the price of spelt ‘berries’. It’s a beautiful golden wheat with a mild flavor. I grind it in my KoMo grain mill and bake in bread. Sometimes I combine it with spelt flour, and I often add it to other baked goods, like biscuits, cookies, pie crusts, even cake! For biscuits, etc, I substitute only about 25% whole grain flour. I believe it enhances the flavor. If you don’t have a grinder, you can cook wheat and all whole grains just like rice - it takes longer. Or, - you can try sprouting it & add to breads.
