The email by itself was very sweet, but with voiceover.. d’aww after hearing that I just wouldn’t import any other Shepard than the one that stayed faithful to Kaidan to my first ME3 playthorugh :)
I will never do a Kaidan romance run and NOT listen to this voice over when I get the email. He did an amazing job of it, and he did it of his own choice as a gift to fans. A Kaidan run would be incomplete without hearing this.
Oh yes!! And then in hospital when he said how sorry he was about Horizon and touched Shepard's hand.. I visited him like 50 times just to hear his say that again and again ^^
This is so dramatic/emotional O_O He did such a great job as always, I like how he took a lot of creative liberty without the directors/writers around.
Haha yeah I did that too, but every time I was on the Citadel (and I was often coming back to complete those little side and fetch quests and pick the new ones) I checked up on him, and even though he didn’t have anything new to say, Shep could still ask him the same questions over and over again and I just loved looking at and listening to him so I did that :) I guess I just missed him a lot since ME1 ^^
Playing through the trilogy. Had to make sure to pull this up when I got the email from him. Wish there was a mod to add the recording into the game so it auto-plays when you open the email, but I guess the way the game is set up that isn't really doable.
Love this. So raw, beautiful! Makes it so much more powerful. Even the fact that it's not the best quality recording, it's imperfect, like Femshep & Kaidan.
@Naykobenok Raphael Sbarge, the voice actor for Kaidan, released this a while back (some time last year, methinks) as a show of thanks to his fans. The positive reception eventually lead to Ashley's voice actor doing a version as well.
Same. I'm was kind of disappointed he wasn't in ME2 but I guess it worked out. If I knew that Garrus was a love interest I might've ditched Kaidan, but I'm so glad I didn't. I dunno if I can play ME again without romancing Kaidan xD
(2/3) I always liked Zevran, he was so much fun to be around with his witty sense of humor but I was put off by his promiscuity… and then I decided to dig deeper.. and what I found was the most interesting, deep and complex character I ever encountered in a video game. And with the most amazing life philosophy. Also the most positive one despite his most awful past. My absolute all-time favorite. Period. XD Now I just can’t look at anyone else.
I have those old saves with other romances so I was able to follow them, but I think I couldn’t make a brand new Shepard without romancing Kaidan :D and now that he’s gay as well all my Sheps are doomed lol, just like it was with Zevran back in DAO, couldn’t romance anyone but him ^^
(3/3) It’s such a pity what they did to him in DA2 and I’m not talking about his looks (this too though), but about that awful bug that keeps his romance flag from being set correctly so he’s all over Hawke in seconds instead of… well.. not being all over him but staying faithful to Warden or even mourning him/her (after 8 years!) if Warden’s dead. Anyway, I should prolly stop talking about Zev here, trust me, you don’t want to get me started, I just love him too much. XD

(1/3) Alistair was my first LI in DAO, and he was really sweet and awkward (but in a good way), and I even managed not to get dumped since I was human noble, and so I enjoyed his romance immensely. ^^ And I didn’t like Morrigan all that much either, I only started to like her when I made a male char and romanced her (now she’s my second fave char, right after Zev).
Wow, I love the voice added email 😍 Now, to choose Shepherd serious relationship; I wanted Shepard and Kaiden, but after what happened at Horizon, Kaidan declined Shepherd after she asked him to join her and he said no and got upset at her after she told him that she wasn't working for cerberus. She was doing this for herself and she got some unfinished business. He acted like a jerk and dip like a kid with tantrum. Then sends her an EMAIL smh I get it he thought she gone forever and had to on, but he did say that he can't just drop the 2 years that he worked to get over Shepherd. And he mentioned a doctor he hooked up, even though its not serious. But, he could've at least had some hope for Shepherd to still be alive somewhere and not believe what ppl are saying and look for her. Also instead of email, he could've called her instead. I thought that was shady of him to say that through email and not face to face. With that being said, Shepherd is gonna choose Garrus. 🥰 Garrus have been by Shepherd's side since ME1 and knew she was tough to servive anything. He still joined her in ME2, no matter what Garrus truly got Shepherd 's back while she always got his back and he is the dude that she trusts from the get go. Team Garrus 🥰🥰
It stays in the cabin for the whole game. If you romance someone, then the picture will be turned upside down; if you didn't you will have a scene with it before the suicide mission
I so wish I did. I guess I missed somethings. I was so concentrated cause I heard you had to build up points in ME3 so I was running around doing side quests.

Top notch voice acting! I remember that after reading this letter in game, I was still furious at Kaidan for his betrayal- his apology meant nothing to me. Now, hearing the same letter voiced, I feel sorry for the guy, because I NEVER forgive Kaidan or continue my affair with him in ME3- I ALWAYS end up with Garrus or Thane. If this letter was voiced in-game however, I just might forgive Kaidan- I wouldn't take him back, but I'd forgive him.
