This video features music from the movies; Electric Dreams, American Gigolo, Fletch, NeverEnding Story, Beverly Hills Cop, Gallipoli, Ghostbusters, The Empire Strikes Back, Terminator 2 and Godzilla.
The legendary composers of these themes are; Giorgio Moroder, Harold Faltermeyer, Jean-Michel Jarre, Ray Parker Jr, John Williams, Brad Fidel and Jamiroquai.

I tell you... as some one who has been playing synthesizer since the 80s.. this video was AWESOME! Unreal amount of skill..
Thanks mate 🙏
@@lukemillionmusic Just amazing your videos and such a beatiful synth collection
How long would it take me to get decent at it?
@@fibreoptik The harder you practice, the quicker you succeed! :P Practice makes perfect!
@@Pauluz_The_Web_Gnome Perfect practice makes perfect :p
My brain can not comprehend how you were able to play that Harold Faltermeyer bass and lead at the same time. It’s just not humanly possible.
Watch someone playing organ - 2 hands + 2 feet :D
@@DonPedro6901 yeah that’s also crazy seen a few videos of that - mind blown 🤯
In fletch
Oh no Beverly Hills Cop/Axel Foley
You don’t actually see him play the DX7 and Prophet 5 at the same time.
Instantly transported to a time when music ignited the soul in movies. 😃
This is ridiculous! You instantly teleported me back to 90% of the movies I recall. Thank you so much. Your skills are insane and it’s so cool to see how much joy it brings you. Keep doing what makes you happy! Knowing artists like you are out there bringing smiles, gives us something more to look forward to in our love for music. That Prophet...need I say more??? Keep it up. Subscribed instantly!
Thank you so much. Support like this is what keeps me making music :)
“Hey Harold, we need a theme to a new Chevy Chase movie and we love what you did with Beverly Hills Cop, but we only have $20 and about 10 minutes.” “Yeah, I think I can come up with something”
I’ve been doing this for around 3 years. I can barely string two notes together. This is SO inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
You're welcome :)
This is an honest question- Are you exaggerating that you can barely string two noted together? In those 3 years, how often and how long do you practice? Or do you mainly just mess around with the waveforms?
Giorgio Moroder and Harold Faltermeyer would be proud
Dude, Electric Dreams is my go-to for music and 80s feel. Moroder did such a fantastic job!
Great series
Fantastic. Hint for follow up: airwolf. Ein fall fur zwei. (Epic German synth tv theme!!!)
That is a great theme!
You bloody rock. So entertaining, skilled & talented... Make more records please...
Thank you. Lot's of new music on the way!
Very good ! ! Very nice the love you have for analog synths and the 80s !!
pure synth magic!
Oxygene always gives me goosebumps. What a brilliant reproduction!
Search for Radek Tymecki
I second this emotion ! I have replayed it at least 5 times now ...
The Fletch theme was awesome.
Well you just destroyed what I thought was my life's greatest achievement of being able to play the bassline and melody from Axel F at the same time! Such a great video. Oxygene 2 was just perfect!
Great achievement indeed!
His synth collection must be worth an insane amount of money
at least 50k from what I've seen in 2 videos alone
The dude has a Prophet 5, a very coveted and very sought after synth.
he mostly collect everything second hand so perhaps half that 50k
@@liorsilverstein9802 considering the fact this legend has a jupiter 8 which go for around 30k alone, id say actually double that 50k
@@senchoumusic is good gear I do not mind spend that much on them. European and japanese wizardry.
Jarre - wow… I’ve played it countless times and this was flawless
Minuto 8:49 está corriendo un disco floppy 5 1/4 OMG!!!!!!!!! ¿¿¿¿entienden lo que es eso en pleno 2022?!?!?
Обожаю музыку 80-ых! хоть и сам 94-го года! и сам балуюсь написанием ретро!)
Absolutely brilliant playing technique on all these tracks. Superb!
Thank You 🙏
God, so many great synths. How long do you have to work for such a large collection?
I just buy them when a good deal presents itself :)
Damn, That Jean Michel Jarre part was recreated perfectly on those synths. Outstanding.
OMG! at 2 minutes in he plays FLETCH, im deads 😂
Dude, you nailed it. Not just that you sound like original 99% (Axel F bass needs a pitch bend a little for example) you have impressive (and expensive) collection of functional vintage gear.
This is some genius stuff right there man good job
Love these, they’re so cool 😎 Man you’re so talented, especially like the Jamiroquai one at the end obviously 🙏🏻🙌🏻🎹
Thank you :)
Uhhh, just started the Video, i'm so exited to hear the Jamiroquai part !!!i
A Matt Johnson fan eh 👍
80's synth Imperial March is so awesome, I think Darth Vader himself would have it as his ringtone lol
Would love to hear you do a full version of “Electric Dreams!”
The fact that you're able to do all of this without a synthesizer is astounding.
The humor of this is sadly under appreciated. 😃
?
Greatest thing since "Vangelis: unplugged"
😆
😆
JMJ - Best recreate i ever hear.
Quick!! What's the name of the song that starts at 8:53!?? I've been looking for that for YEARS!!
Great video 😁 But I need to know one thing. Why did you list The Terminator Theme as ”Theme from Terminator 2” (from 1991) and not ”Theme from Terminator” (from 1984)? I think you nailed the original one from 1984 in this video (without knowing?) - so why you call it as a ”Theme from Terminator 2”? What is the difference that makes you think the one you played is closer to the newer 1991 version? 😊
As an '80s kid myself, I'm absolutlely in love with your channel. This is so great!
Faltermeyer’s stuff is so slick
Man, you are living the life. Well done!
This is incredibly entertaining to me.
I was a child during the 80's and this brings back memories. The performances by Luke here are top notch in my opinion.
This is the Bob Ross of music......wow...sooooo many nice synths.....sooo expensive yet....:/
The song from Fletch!!! 🏆
Love these Luke! Hope to hear some Tangerine Dream - Le Parc (a la Streethawk intro). Was a fun series to watch.
Vintage synths wants the 80s back!
hi, this is Arnold
your sounds are always on point!
That Prophet is a bad boi
One of my favourite synths!
They hot reissue dave smith prophet 5 it's on sale $3500
You are a dark lord of the synth my friend
Wishing to be in a live concert with this great synth musician...wonderful
Impressive presentation, Luke 👍
Looks really wonderful, delighted to be here!
Appreciate the post, thank you so much!
Have a great Thursday Friend🥰
Keep up the spectacular work!
There are so many well meaning musicians on UA-cam attempting song recreations, but you my good sir, have done some epic work here! 👏😉
You gotta do Airwolf next, please.
You synthesizer make me energetic
I really likr this mate ❤
Bravo! As soon as I heard the Fletch theme I thought here we go! So glad this was randomly recommended to me by the YT algorithm!!
Imagina o preço de cada um deles ..,
The song from Fletch!!! 🏆🏆🏆
I have that same software for my E-Mu E II and Emaxes! I honestly found myself working with a 25 year old Windows laptop as my "computer". I found it eons ago and eventually hooked up a MOTU MIDI Express XT to the parallel port and a bunch of Sycologics. I switched from Traction as my DAW to that and some Tascam D-88s a friend of mine was getting rid of. I fell in love with the simplicity of it. I get lost and distracted by the DAW approach. Plus, if I sit down at a beefy computer, I'll start playing video games.
4:01 is the song that got me into electronic music as a kid. Well done!
I love you put Jamiroquai on there, was not expecting that
Not only your playing is outstanding, your ability to program your synths to get the sounds you need. Well done
Just fantastic and one of my favourite songs.. I used to play alot of these keyboards live in their day. Brilliant that you have them all working :)
You make it look so easy man. Great vid. As a musician it's just amazing to actually see the hardware behind all those great tracks. Keep up the excellent work.
I need to get better at programming my Prophet 10. Your prophet patches are so much more lively. Good stuff and inspiring for sure :)
Ahhh wonderful! Thumbs up.
Thank you!
super talented lovely sounds keep enjoying what you love
Thank you so much! :)
Love it. Nothing screams 1980s more than Harold Faltermeyer scoring a film (whatever happened to him?). Great to hear your impeccable version of Together in Electric Dreaming story and I had forgotten that Jean Michel Jarre score (which you played brilliantly btw) being so effectively used in the excellent movie Gallipoli. Surprised no Vangelis music here, maybe that's in part 2?
OMG dude! I had such goosebumps when I heard Oxygene 2 start
Thank you for making me smile. Please keep bringing this musical joy into our world!
Fantastic...like the Crystal Clear Sounds in all Videos, with lots of Punch...i am surpirised of the fantastic Polymoog Bass Sound, too bad i just explore Your fantastic Channel so late...Love this Friday Funk Jams...Top 👍...added to my daily UA-cam Synflix..cheers
this whole dude is quantized to 8note
Ecto-1 on the keyboard is a nice touch. I didn't even know Meco made "The Empire Strikes Back" theme.
Hi Luke, Just discovered your channel, of course subbed, but you deserve way more subscribers! What you do is unique, almost every tune you recreate is instant!!! Crazy stuff man! Keep doing it! Love it! Brings back memories!
Ok, your "together in electric dreams" was SPOT ON. Congrats! It's one of my favorite songs from the era, and the movie is still an absolute favorite.
Gotta love that guitar sound from the Emulator II.
Sooo jealous of your synth setup. I'm floored by all these. You deserve them tho...you have all the skills to play them proper, so they're in the right hands. Much respect for covering Giorgio Moroder and Jean Michel Jarre proper. Super nice and accurate covers. You are very skillful at the keys.
I could listen to you play for hours your awesome. I’m in synth heaven. So awesome love it.
Thank you 🙏
Dude - all your Multimoog sounds for the baselines are the bee’s knees. Absolutely abuzz with excellence.
There ought to be a law against someone having so many classic synths in one place at one time. It could rupture the space time continuum. Thank you though. And thank you for taking the time to record them without so much compression that we can’t hear the tone. Really well done.
What synth did you use for the vocoder?
Thank you!! Could you recreate the intro Sirius by Alan Parsons Project? thanks!!
pointing during Ghostbusters, yes yes, love it!
Hi Luke,
How many keyboards/synths do you have? Looks like a really impressive collection.
a juno a prophet and an oberheim walk into a bar...

Really enjoyed these. Tried guessing them without look at the names.
Truly amazing. Everything, just amazing. You, the original tech, the music choices, the playing. Amazing.
Wieder mal super Grüße aus Berlin der Berliner

Is there a cs80 hiding under a bed somewhere? Think it's the only one missing! Love love what you do man,and how you do it 💜

Oxygene II was first class. Another great video man. Having owned a few classic synths over the years I appreciate the time and effort you must have put into these videos to get them right. Epic job fella.
Top job as always.
Never pass a video of yours by without watching
Nicely done Luke
You're a God among the 80's Synth people. Subscribing right now!
