This man is a god amongst rugby players. a player i wouldn't only like to emulate, but also meet in person. Greatest irish player there was, is and ever will be.
yea in high school i played flanker untill my coach saw me run with the ball and moved me to outside centre...i hated the idea of it, then i discovered this guy. he's my new hero. Much, much respect from the U.S
Genius indeed...and next saturday in the 6 nations against Italy he will play his last game on home turf and become the most capped player in rugby history. It's sure to be an emotional occasion.
great players come and go but its what they leave behind is what counts..rugby in ireland was a 4th choice sport, watched only around the 6 nations and then this guy came on the scene. it is something SH people will never ever understand as they have come from such rich rugby heritage. He single handedly brought this country from part time spectators to insane fans all because of his god given talents. Ask any centre on this planet-"who do you base your game on?" There is only one answer.
How this man has only had player of the year twice I don't know and in 2009 I think it was Richie mccaw who won it and he isn't even in the same league of rugby players as Brian O drisoll ... He will go down as one of the best if not the best rugby player who ever lived
wow I'm surprised so many of those highlights (the whole thing basically...) are against France !...they're probably all losses too...(kiiiiiiiiddiiiiiing !!!). BOD, what a delight to watch...except when he's scoring against France like that...
@accident111 You can't give examples of single players praising him as it would mean nothing. But, the fact that many world class players mutually agree that he is one of, if not the best centre in world is what makes it count. He's been praised for years for his presence on the pitch. He's a like a 7 in the tackle and breakdown. Then if you even dare give him an inch of space he will punish you for it. It's just a known fact that he's one of the greatest centre's too play the game.
@velyan12 I would say definitely one of the best flankers ever to play, but BOD should definitely have won player of the year 2009. By a mile. He won the grand slam for Ireland and the Heineken cup for Leinster, neither of which they'd have won without him. He then went on to be arguably the stand out player on the Lions tour and in Irelands autumn internationals. He was incredible all year, it was a joke they gave it to McCaw
@tony10396861 Don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan of BOD, but that years player of the year shoulda gone to Fourie du Preeze, Lions tour Winner, Super 12 Winner with the Bulls(scoring 2 tries in the final that turned the game), Tri-Nations Winner(Having beat NZ 3 times on the trot) and he is an instrumental part of every team he played in.
@N1ghtstar4 Richard McCaw isn't in the same league as BOD? Arguably one of the best flankers ever to play, nominated 7 times, won 3 verses never winning it! Hell I'm an Aussie and I like BOD's playstyle but come on man be serious
@accident111 you don't need to look at clips just read about things he has done , 2x tier1 European champion , 3 triple crowns , lead Ireland to there first grand slam in 61 years in 2009 scoring 4 tries in 5 matches , lead his country 70 times more than any other irish man has, top try scorer in the 6 nations , top try scoring captain in the 6 nations , most capped ireland player , was on 3 lion tours 1 as captain, 2nd most capped player ever, 4 world cup squads, hat trick 10th cap
When I ever read or listen to someone name their greatest rugby team from the professional era, and if they leave out Brian O' Driscoll, I generally scoff and assume they know nothing about rugby. I can't help it.
@accident111 If you need someone to point out clips of BOD in action you obviously dont watch much rugby and therefore dont know what your talking about. players from other countries always point out that he is one of the best centers to ever play the game
He simply is the greatest player ever, people from the southern hemesphere will disagree and say jona lomu but in fairness he had no skill and flair quite like brian o driscoll.
@niallb1 well I just sat through 4 mins of that clip and didn't see much. I'm not quite sure why you decided to reply. You haven't provide any examples you just felt the need to make assumptions about how much rugby I've watch and what I know about rugby. I'm assuming it's down to the fact that you can't provide any examples. I mean your opinion is limited to "BOD must be one of the best centres as players from other countries say so" Who are these players?
@h7p10 Thanks god he isn't. Meaning that if he was in the All Black side, they would be far more dominant than they are already and the French would have been thrashed in the RWC 2011 final by 40 plus points.
That was a great try for the Lions against the Australians, but otherwise pretty average stuff really. Can somebody advise me of any other clips that show the genius that the Irish fans talk about. I'm just not convinced yet.
This man is a god amongst rugby players. a player i wouldn't only like to emulate, but also meet in person. Greatest irish player there was, is and ever will be.
inspirational hero since i was able to play rugby , so motivational ........ on of my favourite people of all time ..... absolute class
the man brings a tear to my eye
Although I am not an irish supporter, another great video.
He is one of the greatest players yet, his creativity is unmatched!
one of the best center ever . from France
Not just one the greatest. But also one the nicest
yea in high school i played flanker untill my coach saw me run with the ball and moved me to outside centre...i hated the idea of it, then i discovered this guy. he's my new hero. Much, much respect from the U.S
I'm ENglish through and through but still think BOD is the greatest rugby player (and even sportsman) of his generation - Bod bless you
You never disapoint! Another great video, thanks!
Thank you. An incredible player.
Spettacolo. Thanks for video😊
Great guy. Magnificent
By far the best centre of all time.
that gave me goosebumps brilliant
yes, this is really a TRIBUTE to the best player
a true legend of the game
hes like the Xavi of rugby, brilliant and still underrated
although he was named player of the decade in 2010, he's still up there with the great players
all time great
He might not be the best 13 in the world at the moment but he is the best outside centre I've ever seen. Going to be hard to beat.
The Greatest Ever.
Talented player.
The man is an all time great Rugby Player!
O'Driscoll, the World's tallest Leprechaun ! This guy is a wizard, just like Shane Williams, decides "OK enough it's time to score"... And scores.
Genius indeed...and next saturday in the 6 nations against Italy he will play his last game on home turf and become the most capped player in rugby history. It's sure to be an emotional occasion.
the way he finds space is obscene
great players come and go but its what they leave behind is what counts..rugby in ireland was a 4th choice sport, watched only around the 6 nations and then this guy came on the scene. it is something SH people will never ever understand as they have come from such rich rugby heritage. he has won everything..... magners/celtic league, heineken cup, triple crown, grand slam....do we dare dream!!!! a world cup?!?!?!
absolute class
Probably the smartest rugby player in the history of the game. Its all in the little things. UA-cam; Brian O'Driscoll moment of genius
"O'Driscoll's got support, WHICH he will not need!"
C'est un grand joueur et en plus un grand homme. I like him.
BOD what a man
Bring it on , bring it on!!

this guy is unreal
I LOVE BRIAN :D

Bring it on
Bring it on
Where's Part 2- 100?
Long live BOD
watta legend, always there for a pass, watta center he was
the best back in the history of the game. simple. and im Welsh
he's not the irish genius, he's the rugby genius!
How this man has only had player of the year twice I don't know and in 2009 I think it was Richie mccaw who won it and he isn't even in the same league of rugby players as Brian O drisoll ... He will go down as one of the best if not the best rugby player who ever lived
3:35 Love that pick up. If that was me I'd of knocked on and then fell over.
an icon
they should have a final between the magners league winners and the aviva premiership winners for the great britain cup
in BOD we trust !
3:33 "bring it, bring it then"
wat sad sad person would dislike this?
wow I'm surprised so many of those highlights (the whole thing basically...) are against France !...they're probably all losses too...(kiiiiiiiiddiiiiiing !!!).
BOD, what a delight to watch...except when he's scoring against France like that...
France would like to have O'Driscoll for just one game, please can we borrow his talent for our back line :)
2:40 so good
in BOD we trust
@accident111 You can't give examples of single players praising him as it would mean nothing. Brian O'Driscoll would make All star team of last 20 years. Easily. Next to Guscott or Horan??!!!!
BOD for King
look at muliaina, one of the best defenders in the world over the last half decade, completely frozen to the spot by BOD's pick up
Captain of the Lions in Australia hopefully if he has a good 6 Nations.
I know how you feel!
The lucky 13 !
bod and lomu....gotta be the top 2 players of all time...close call between those two but probably bod :)
would have loved to see a centre partnership of him and Tana Umaga that would be legend
a Knight of Rugby and as a person
@MrJammydodger1995 yh ur rite i got it confused with player of the Tournament in the 2006, 2007 for six nations
@tony10396861 Don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan of BOD, but that years player of the year shoulda gone to Fourie du Preeze, Lions tour Winner, Super 12 Winner with the Bulls(scoring 2 tries in the final that turned the game), Tri-Nations Winner(Having beat NZ 3 times on the trot) and he is an instrumental part of every team he played in.
its going to a sad say when he retires i think he said he will be retireing after the next lions tour if he gets picked
all i have to say is TANK !!!!!!!!!!!!!
@N1ghtstar4 Richard McCaw isn't in the same league as BOD? Arguably one of the best flankers ever to play, nominated 7 times, won 3 verses never winning it!
Hell I'm an Aussie and I like BOD's playstyle but come on man be serious
A good player, just a wee pity about the game against New Zealand last night (60 -0)
@dTheComedianb part one of every match he's ever played:P
@accident111 you don't need to look at clips just read about things he has done , 2x tier1 European champion , 3 triple crowns , lead Ireland to there first grand slam in 61 years in 2009 scoring 4 tries in 5 matches , lead his country 70 times more than any other irish man has, top try scorer in the 6 nations , top try scoring captain in the 6 nations , most capped ireland player , was on 3 lion tours 1 as captain, 2nd most capped player ever, 4 world cup squads, hat trick 10th cap
who the fuck would dislike this thumbs up if u agree
@Thehiman94 i think it could be either kevin mealamu or tana umaga
When I ever read or listen to someone name their greatest rugby team from the professional era, and if they leave out Brian O' Driscoll, I generally scoff and assume they know nothing about rugby. I can't help it.
@grevious01 lol ... exactly,

@accident111 If you need someone to point out clips of BOD in action you obviously dont watch much rugby and therefore dont know what your talking about. players from other countries always point out that he is one of the best centers to ever play the game
part 1 of 748

He simply is the greatest player ever, people from the southern hemesphere will disagree and say jona lomu but in fairness he had no skill and flair quite like brian o driscoll.

Meaning that if he was in the All Black side, they would be far more dominant than they are already and the French would have been thrashed in the RWC 2011 final by 40 plus points.
Hey guys have a look at my tribute!!
That was a great try for the Lions against the Australians, but otherwise pretty average stuff really. Can somebody advise me of any other clips that show the genius that the Irish fans talk about. I'm just not convinced yet.
