    It would be cool to have an Ann Wilson (Heart) episode + Jessie Mueller, Ledisi, Yebba, Shoshana Bean, Avery Wilson, Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars. These are such fun videos! This channel never gets old.

    Jessie J is a champ, literally! She won that Chinese singing talent competition some years ago... Wonderful covers (in English) worth checking out. She's very inclusive in her live concerts, isn't she? I've seen her acknowledge her by singers by introducing them to the audience and then have them sing a phrase...
    Next please highlight a contralto singer, the one and only Toni Braxton!

    Wow! You keep introducing me to artists that I have never heard of and are blowing me away! I'm embarrassed to say that I have never heard Jessie J. sing. I'm older and listen to older stations when I have time. Thank you for this video. I will definitely need to check this amazing singer out!

    I love Jessie J, cried my eyes out when I saw her live - not because I was fangirling hard (which I was!) but because she made so much magic in the room. Her soul shines.. and I love her lyrics. She’s a music medicine goddess. Love her, and loved this video! Made me fangirl all over again!!

    You should react to Dimash Qudaibergen,a singing marvel!His voice,musical skills and vocal abilities are just beyond anything ever heard of,take my word!He's just a full package,4-5 singers would find it difficult to perform just one of his songs!Give him a try!Check Stranger,or SOS!You'll get what I mean!

    Thanks for this! I loved Price Tag & was surprised to learn she wrote Party in the USA, but only recently started listening to all of her songs! Also, I highly recommend her "Mamma knows Best 12 years apart" video on UA-cam, she somehow barely aged & her voice is maybe even better!! 🤯😃

    Nice content! Thanks for this. But what can you say about jaw movements, that I often hear vocal coaches say minimise jaw movements- But we see many of pro singers really open their mouths when singing. JJ here great example.

    • @NewYorkVocalCoaching
      @NewYorkVocalCoaching  2 роки тому

      Hi CG! Justin makes a point about this at the end of the episode, we think that might be of help to you! We also recommend watching Episode 84 on Vocal Embouchure. If you'd like more thoughts and help on this, Justin has a live chat once a month. More info on that in our Community Tab. :) Hope this helps! -NYVC

      Well, most coaches will tell you you’re supposed to really lower the jaw when doing a belt. But you’re supposed to keep it relatively stable once you have lowered it and opened the mouth.

    I’d love to see an analysis of Chris Cornell, both in the Badmotorfinger era (anything in 92) and stuff after soundgarden got back together, which are his two peaks in my opinion but are very different.
