I think this China "Tour" has somehow allowed Jessie J to re-discovered the other side of herself both as a person and also as an artist; the mud has settled and the water has now become much clearer so as speak. She is now a more all rounded and mature artist. As audience, we were lucky to have been able to witness this transformation, it was marvelous and simply amazing!! Thank you Jessie! If I were to pick 3 songs that epitomized this, they would have to be: 1. Purple rain. 2. Killing me softly with his song. 3. My heart will go on. Beautiful performances indeed.

I feel the industry took her into the wrong direction. They put her in a box as a pop artist and she's far capable of much more. I hardly see any promo for her recent endeavors. She's such a powerhouse! I used to watch her UA-cam long before she released her first single and was HOOKED on her purity and rawness. She's a beast musically in all aspects; emotion, technique, control, range, vibrato, personality, presence. But what the industry did to her music bothered me. They really dropped the ball. She could literally make a special appearance with Beyonce, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, or Cristina Aguilera, or even make a duet with Kelly Clarkson. She's just that versatile. All I know is that her rendition of Reflection in this show is immortal.

The thing with her is that her first album skyrocketed her, then the two that follow didn't quite live up to the expectation, except the few hits like Flashlight/Bang Bang (and maybe Alive or Masterpiece if you want to count them). It's good that she's trying different styles and all that, but popularity wise they are just not working. I love her songs, but every time I go karaoke I only sing her classics from the first album, just like she's always performing her old songs from it too. Some of her new songs aren't bad, but they just don't really stick. So all she need now is good songs imo.
She has a great voice with wide diversity, she is looking great especially with the "wet-gel-look", like Celine and Cher she cant dance, her stage presence is impressing, she obviously has a good management with the CHI idea ... we will know her for a long time. It's been 4 years, it still brings tears to my eyes whenever I rewatch Jessie's performance on Singer. She's devoted to her art and I can feel her passion through the tiny phone screen. Such an amazing artist! This season and the previous season with Coco were the peak of the show. I stopped watching after Jessie J's season. How could they top that? She's incredible!
