This is a great video. It’s so discouraging to see a course or book that looks good, only to find it begins way above or below your level. Also, when you do have a serious question, you have to buy another course or book.
I am applying for a new position in maintenance in our company. We have PLC machines in use for manufacturing, that no one seem to have agility to modify or adjust function. Many of machines need tweaking to make them more efficient for our application. All these machines have base line functionality. I want to present the idea to my company about establishing PLC training if hired. What do you suggest for beginner training to help me start a program at our company?
I believe Rockwell is much easier. I have experience with both. But that may matter more where in the world you are. Because Siemens is a common platform in Europe and South America. However in the USA it's Rockwell, so choose wisely. But keep in mind, you are twice the value if you can program in both platforms.
Shane is the king of servos. You need software and hardware from rockwell. This is not easy. plc professor is cool too. Employers want C programing and visual basic too. python?
Shane has a solid grasp on servos for sure. As for C programming and Visual Basic, employers would love to have someone who can program those languages. But beginners often aren't skilled enough to program logic and C languages. So it is not a necessity for beginners to know.
Hello Tanman, it depends on what platform you will most likely use the most. It has a lot to do with global region. Siemens is strong used in Europe and Allen Bradley is used largely in America.

Start with My PLC Training.com then move to my automation interactive simulation training.
thanks for the suggestions, discipline is the key , Siemens or Allen bradley which is harder to learn?

Thank you sir. Please what do you think about realpars programming course ?
Realpars is a good online video training course. But not enough alone to be prepared for your first day as a programmer. But worth taking.
Hello Herman, Realpars is a great learning platform for entry level PLC programmers. Do you have any experience in programming PLC's?
