- Fishing a rural countryside canal that was closed off to any boat traffic years ago. This stretch is only fished by a few people and can produce some spectacular fish on the right day! I hope you enjoy the video, if you do don't forget to like ands subscribe!

Hope to see you in the comments below, if not the next video will be out soon! This video was recorded a while ago before the heat got so intense, just waited a while top post because I wanted to prioritise things like the recent catch and cook so no pike were harmed!
The famous topwater snake strikes again and a bonus new lure to boot great vid George lovely place to fish that canal the scenery is epic keep it up mate really enjoy your content
Thanks mate I appreciate that! Yeah the day I lose that snake will be very sad, hoping to get my hands on a rat lure soon too!
gorgeous scenery at 2.30 imagine living in one of those houses and fishing that stretch whenever the mood took you , fantastic.
That’s the dream! I’d love to live right on the water one day
Love these savage gear 3D snake great lure lots of patience is required when fishing the snake nice video,Dellboy
I love them too, in my opinion over summer they even out fish other traditional lures!
@@adventurefishinguk i used them in the USA i hammered the muskey and pike and small mouth and large mouth bass fishing from kayaks went lure fishing for 6 weeks 3 weeks in the Everglades then 3 weeks in Florida keys the snake was showed to us by a couple of American guys they came out in the USA 6 weeks before uk there absolutely awesome but i have another very tiny surface lure that is my favorite surface lure pike chub perch trout they all love this lure,Dellboy
Thank you for saving that’s pikes life! Another great video
Thanks mate glad you enjoyed the video!
Love that top water snake 👍 did a great job and a great action. Nice free lure too 🙂
I love it too, got my last one stuck on some big reeds. Had to bite the bullet and order another straight away, set me back nearly £20 but I feel now I can’t go pike fishing without it 😂 ended up catching 3 in 3 trips on her!
@@adventurefishinguk fantastic 👍. I need to upgrade some of my kit. Love piking 👍. Will catch up on a few of your other films today.
Cheers George, have a top weekend fella n maybe a couple of double figure Pike 👍
Rick
So that net will manage a pike. Nice one.
It will yeah, not a massive one though i've had one break on me before with a double. You dont really want to be lifting anything over 8 or 9 pound with it especially when its extended!
@@adventurefishinguk thank you
Beautiful scenery up your way.
I've already got the Rigged and Ready 180 and my Predator rod from them just got delivered today.
Going to wait until it cools down before I go and use it though.
Cheers.
Lovely isn’t it! I hope you used the discount code, best to wait for it to cool down! I’m sure the rods live up to expectation!
Great stuff mate, im brand new to fishing but you've got me interested in pike fishing. I think i recognise this stretch of canal so i might have a go myself this weekend. Thanks for the videos mate, keep it up 👍
Thanks mate! You’ll have to let me know how you get on if you give it a go
Riveting sport! Exciting when the action is on top! What's the score with permits for this bit, George? Further down its PAC, but I think that's below Carnforth
I know there's nothing quite like topwater fishing! Its run by kendal angling association either membership or day ticket from a local tackle store or on the bank
No wonder that Pike was a bit moody - wonder how long he'd been dragging that around...well done for sorting him out 👍👏🏻
I know! it's a first for me, I'll probably make a video using that lure to catch one on it myself in the future!
Another top video George.
Can i ask, what braid do you use?
I am curious because I have tried a few and have been very surprised as to how easily they break. Some at half their rated BS or less. My tests are by no means scientific and I am not going to name names in case it's something I am doing wrong. Highly possible because I ain't been doing this long.
Thanks Mark! I've not had chance to try many out but for my pike set up I splashed out on some expensive stuff and so far it's been worth it's weight in gold. It's called suffix 832 advanced superline
Well done mate, good job you caught that pike, you probably saved it,I was up there today but it was far to hot for it,went to glasson instead and targeted perch had over 20 👍🏼
Definitely, got myself a new lure too 😂 hopefully I'm gonna make a video fishing with it. I've never fished glassine, is it a day ticket? and any tips if I do? Would love to target perch, hardly any in the canal where I fish. That said, I did see a 3lber on there the other day
@@adventurefishinguk Glasson is teaming with perch,i use size 8 micro jig heads with tiny 1" shads catch most at the edge against the wall,Day tickets can be purchased from the shop at Glasson near the little bridge, weekends are very busy atm but midweek isn't as bad.
That SNAAAAAKKKKEEEE!
I lost it unfortunately :( maybe the rat next
Love your content fella. New sub here. Used to be a big fisherman up unitl 15 years ago. Now looking to get back into it. Is this the stretch near Crooklands? It looks kinda familiar as I have walked around there and thought how fishy it looked! Do you get Perch there too?
Thanks mate I appreciate that! You should get back into it, and yeah it is around there. Can be a really tough stretch and fish aren’t there in numbers but there’s still some around, and the odd nice sized one 👍
@@adventurefishinguk Thanks a mill, much appreciated! Would love to start again and give it a go there. Been trying to find out who owns it or where I can purchase a ticket? Thanks again!
@@wolfypics7339 I think it's kendal angling association mate
@@adventurefishinguk Cheers fella. I thought it might be.. will give them a go and see :) Tight lines!
Nice one mate 👍
Thanks mate!
No snakes here in Ireland but i guess I'll have to get this lure and figure out if the pike will still eat🤔 sick video man 👍
Never seen a snake around my ends either but they can't resist the action, best topwater lure on the market in my opinion!
Looks like a fantastic spot!
Really scenic yeah, thanks for the comment I appreciate it!
Looks like there's no braid on that wire trace so I'd say the knot failed rather than it snapping off. Great video man 💪
I think you're probably right! Glad you enjoyed the video 🎣
I know that canal well and know that it’s PAC run but is that part run by them , great videos by the way 👍
Thanks mate glad you’re enjoying the videos!
Great video mate!
Thank you!
What a stunning place to fish 👍👍
Thanks mate! Lovely views for a canal 👍
He always finds the best places hah
@@Flippin4Fish it’s what the channel is all about!
@@adventurefishinguk it’s what life’s about!
I wouldn’t say the live snapped unless you took the line off the swivel, knot might has failed
I think you’re right mate didn’t consider that at the time!
Great vid man , try using a spook/walking bait on that canal , bet it would do well , tight lines
I’ll have a look into getting one thanks for the suggestion!
@@adventurefishinguk no worries man , they are great for summer pike , the brand heddon make good spooks
Great video mate. Would you mind sharing the general location of this canal?
Thank you glad you enjoyed the video! It's on the Lancaster canal 👍
@@adventurefishinguk Cheers, keep up with these videos, you're the best around 😃
@@szuetam2266 glad you think so that means a lot!
NO WAAAY! THAT LURE IS MINE!! I can't believe it. I snapped off on a 20lb fish... Don't know how that fish got hold of it.
Are you being serious?
@@adventurefishinguk of course not lol. Love your videos btw.
@@shellery87 😂 was about to get very excited! Glad you enjoyed the video
any recommendations for good cheap sea rods?
Are you looking to lure fish or beach cast?
@@adventurefishinguk beach cast
@@andrewdiaz8364 I’m sorry I probably don’t know enough about the topic to be able to give you a good recommendation!
@@adventurefishinguk okay
Do you use a wire trace?
Most of the time, occasionally ill use a strong fluorocarbon leader 60lb ish but most of the time it’s wire
Where were you at
