Nello graduated with a 63% average. He is currently a Junior legal consultant at an Immigration Services company and has been accepted to study his LLM in Commercial law next year at UCT (University of Cape Town).
flip!! what a champion, bless his heart
impressive, most people don't believe that you can be accepted at UCT if you from UNISA. But at the end of the day your destiny awaits.
We here 👍

Impressive story ❤
UNISA law students.... Let's mark the register.
It’s us we are over here 🙌🏾
I’ve seen this young man at sunnyside campus…
We are here. And inspired

I also studied my LLB at UniSA, I had a chance to go to other universities but UniSA was more convenient for me because I've always been a person who works well with a flexible schedule so a traditional university wouldn't of worked for me, in other words going to class on a daily basis was not what I wanted.
I didn't struggle at all as a UniSA student, job wise I got my articles two months after completion of my degree. So my journey with UniSA was great but would I recommend anyone to take the same route well be ready to be belittled most of the time especially in practice but what people don't know is that UniSA students are very hardworking lol having to teach yourself 40 modules gives you that attribute and I use that to my advantage every day at work 🙂
Gosh I want to share a lot about my journey, so wish I could be part of this discussion.
I love your channel, keep doing the good work 💕
Exactly!!
Please tell us all about it... ❤
Hey Can I please ask you something
Do share your experience please🙏
Yoh Yaz thinking right now, that having to be a 1st year student this year for LLB at unisa I appreciate hearing that from you.
Listen I like that the church played a great role in his career. This is what the house of the lord should be about
Yeah, thanks a lot hey, I am so attached to that church till todate since God has used my Pastors hands to help us succeed, again I thank God.👏👏👏
UNISA is suitable for people who are employed, those who can't afford to pay for res and traveling to classes everyday. It requires descipline, focus, independence and for you to be resourceful because there's no spoon feeding, you have to be active in finding assistance when having difficulties, pursuing opportunities for practical training and so on. The only thing to get in the way of your success is the limitations you set on yourself.
Law firms and the Unisa faculty should have career fair for LLB students and guidance on what to look for and expect from an employer. Graduates end up in these unfortunate circumstances because they don't know better.
I agree ☝🏽
I know the guy, sleepless night at building 15 unisa sunnyside so proud to see fellow unisa students succeed
Thanks a lot hey, thank you, that building though!!!
Am a Unisa LLB student, and am about to write Civil Procedure exam.
This video came at the right time.
You guys are doing the Lord's work.
Nello your story is one of hardwork, passion and resilience. May God bless the works of your hands.
Thanks Atli for the video❤️
I thank God that this interview has inspired you and best wishes in your journey. I appreciate.👏

I completed my BCom Law with UNISA and I am currently in my final semester awaiting my results. I have studied with other universities prior to studying at UNISA and I can attest to the fact that UNISA is very much on par with other universities in terms of the standard. I can even further say, the expectation at UNISA is higher in that you are expected to work independently which is not done at contact universities. Another thing, at contact universities there are extra-curricular activities that law students can participate in which gives them the added advantage and thus makes them more attractive to employers but besides that, UNISA students are just as capable.
Under what stream with Bcom law
First of all studying at unisa it's never been a easy journey, a person who studied there and complete the qualification is strong . if you don't put effort into your studies you won't make it. There are many challenges that unisa students faces than other students to other universities.
I think the work is good to work around it's just the inconveniences you get from the university. I feel like the uni is always under prepared for us. If that makes sense. 🙈 Some of the lecturers truely try their best to make things better but yoh. Love the uni though.
It's advisable to do your LLB as your second degree, if your blessed enough to be employed - do it part time if it's aligned with your career path. In that way, it's easier to negotiate when changing jobs because it counts as a bonus however should it be your first degree, just know your starting salary may not always be great unless you have a very excellent yr average and get a spot in the best law firms. Thanks for the vid!
Very inspiring, keep on conquering fighter. God bless your hustle.
The content we signed up for! ❤️🙌🏻
I love this God is good and he will make sure you reach your goals.
We must strive for excellence. Thank you
Congratulations Nello; well done!
You are an inspiration to all of us
This was very touching. And encouraging ❣🙏
Thanks for the upload. I am a 2nd year Unisa LLB student. I think any university is difficult, Unisa is just distance learning. With Covid it did improve and we have been provided with online classes and hands on lecturers and Telegram that is quite interactive. In first year I was definitely alone but it was doable.
What one needs is to be dedicated and put extra effort.
2nd year has been very tough since Unisa decided on a super semester, which really put me at edge along with other students, but I think it needs time management and passion.
Masabatha sis ❤️ hold on.. I am currently on my 3rd year, consistency will help, just keep up the work, stay disciplined to reach the end goal.
Put in the work, all will go well ❤️🤗
@@law_life_scripture thanks a lot, I will keep on. All the best with your studies
@serenity We have one semester instead of two. Meaning, instead of dividing modules for the 2 semesters, you'll do all modules at the same time.
Instead of doing 5 and another 5, you will do 10 at the same time.
@serenity if you register in January, you will write in November. You will write all your registered modules in one setting different dates, but all between September - December
One thing about UNISA is you will get the job on the spot 😂😂🤣🤣 we are given so much work and learn things that we feel are not even relevant. I'm really glad I'm doing my degree at UNISA, it's very stressful and hard but all that hard work pays off at work.
Lorlĺĺl, thank you ses😂😂😂👏👏👏
I’m not crying. You are 😭❤️.

This video proved to me what i already knew, it's hard to get articles for every law graduate but for unisa students.. It's harder..
I advise Unisa students to study Masters at another university 🙏🏾✨
True, however we gonna have to push and find ourself a space.👏👏
why is it harder for UNISA students?
Road to a well deserved 10k 😍💃🏻. Let’s do this.

Encouraging content. You are going to reach for the stars I believe in you.
For the law students and graduates that do not want to do their articles there's many opportunities out there. After completing my BA LLB from Rhodes. I became an IR consultant the salary was R 13k pm, with benefits R 17k. 2nd year consulting amount went up by R 5k. I left the company after 3.5 years. Did HR for 6 months the co promoted to position of National Employee Relations Manager won't disclose the salary but the average salary is about 50k CTC starting
Xolisa, thank you for your comment, I'm hopeful. I've completed my Masters in Public Administration and would like to supplement it with LLB any advise...
God bless the Man of God who assisted this guy. Man of God of today are all about taking and not giving

Hi ses, I wish you the best hey.👏👏
Shoutout to the pastor 💪❤️⭐💐
I'm really inspired by Hlungwani's story.
Good Day Atli,
Yeah no Nello's story is truly heartbreaking and painful. He has really struggled and it was also not so good to hear him relating about these people who were taking advantage of his desperation. They're so cruel no ways.😢😢
I still have the same feeling regarding UNISA hey... It's really not a good idea there study there, Nello's struggles are testament to that rather one goes to the Full-time Universities we all know so as to avoid such tragic experiences from occurring. But as it was said, life is not a one size fits all sometimes and so journeys differ.🤷♀
Great lessons learnt. Thank you so much Atil ❤❤
#UNISA
You don't even have a diploma, leave us & unisa alone sesi please
Such an inspiring story, I remember when I finished matric in 1990, I didn't have money...I was rejected more than 200 times and finally in 92 I got a bursary from SAIRR I studied chemical engineering
I can relate to Nello's story and challenges he went through, our stories are more similar. I am also a Unisa Graduate and I struggled to get employment for the longest time, mainly struggled with securing articles and I had to divert the route to other fields. I eventually secured articles, I can attest that it is not easy. Big ups to you Nello and Atlegang
It wasn't an easy one hey, God bless you.
Contracts are highly essential!!!!
I did my 3 years in NWU. I didn't get get my 3rd year results or transcript due to outstanding fees, which led me to unisa and repeating modules. I'm hoping that the time spent at NWU will work to my advantage
You will make it hey, God bless you.👏👏👏
I am a second year student at Unisa, I choose to go to Unisa because I have a full time job that pays "okay", I have an honours degree in Science, but I would like to change careers at some point, and understand that it will come with a pay-cut. and I didnt know that PLT is this expensive. It means that I will have save money for it and have a side hustle by the time I finish with LLB
Law firms usually bear the costs of PLTs, it shouldn’t come out of your own pocket to be honest 🙏🏾✨ but I can’t speak for all firms. I wish you the best with your career. 🙂 consider going into Patents since you have a science degree.
@@atleganggovuza6733 I do not know what that is, please make a video on it
Yeah, you gonna have to save up some good cash for PLT's, but you can always pay same in instalments, however a half of the fee must be paid before the commencement of the programme. Best wishes.👏👏
Thank you
but can't he enforce the employment relationship even if it is without a contract? because it is the substance over form right?
Nay le Content umuntu aybhalisele. I am in the process of trying to switch career
This is inspiring
Thanks Nkosi
@@nellonello4329 🙏Keep going my brother, your interview just positively changed my mindset completely.
Watching this is making me so sad. Nello has gone through so much. I am praying for all the best for him.
I won't lie, this is one of my fears with looking for employment. As a final year student it has been hard and my anxiety is so bad in this period
Thank you so much for your best wishes, I appreciate hey.👏👏👏
Please do a video on B Ed students would really appreciate it
Please
did the guy in sandton not try to take advantage of him? That part is very weird of him seeing only close up ayiiiiii
My friend you had a lot of bumps in your road. One thing you should keep in mind is one never study Law to work to push papers, finish your articles don't wait until you have to much responsibilities. Save money that can sustain you for the period of doing your articles. Good luck

Yoh this is heartbreaking 💔
Congradulations to the young man. But i think it is the responsibility of the candidate to register with LPC and as cruel as the profession, there is no salary, only the mercy of the boss.
also need to remember most of these varsities are also corrupted in the sense that they will tell you you cannot study there because of one point, i had my own struggles, applied numerous times and the last thing you want to do is study a different degree because you want that "varsity". I live to tell my story to my kids one day BUT UNISA accepted me when no one did and i am very happy about my decision. another thing when i suggest you do higher certificate in legal studies, thats what helped me, while was waiting to get accepted and when i applied again for transfer they said i'd have to start from scratch, imagine repeating modules of llb that you van be exempted from because you had already done legal studies certification. So in short my studying LLB with six first year modules (exempted from 4) if i had more money would have applied for 4 second year modules. NEVER GIVE UP. Familiarise and research about unisa and the groups for ne students through their portals, you can do it there.
Amen, God bless you.👏👏
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
a very sad story, this is the main reason why i left law in my 3rd year.Plus during that time there was the "own car and be fluent in Afrikaans" requirements.yoh ae i'm okay with law xem lol.Starting over,May Medical School embrace me with open arms
Lorlĺĺl best wishes hey!!!
Lol..
R1500 ppl are ruthless yhooo !askies my brother.
What were his grades? Did he find it difficult getting articles?
Thanks for this coz I forgot to ask him. I’ll ask to pin them to my video once it is released 🙏🏾
He is not doing articles currently, but yes, he did struggle
It's actually Really sad and so stupid that people view LLB Unisa graduates so low . We don't get spoon fed there you are a student and a lecture all at once that's some serious discipline .
Giving my 2cent , I think getting good marks will put us in a better position because the university that we coming from has already compromised our position in securing articles which I still don't understand why. But thank you Atli for the Video ❤️
So sis Atlegang if you study Bcom law or BA law at any private institution then after completing it you apply at public institution like Uj for LLB are you going to do it for 4 years or 2 years?
It should be 2 years, so you’d enter at level 3 LLB
Please see link below pertaining to UP. I assume other universities have something similar
www.up.ac.za/programmes/programme/04130012/year/2021
@@atleganggovuza6733 okay thank you
As for the "hehehe clip" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You keep mentioning in your videos "you don't have to go straight to articles" but you never elaborate what those options are, would you mind making a video like that?
When does UNISA opens for second semester this year?
Hi lady,
I don't have Instagram to send a DM nor do I have your email address, but I am asking if you can do a video on the acting High Court Judge Ngcukaitobi rape judgement. I just saw it in enca and I found it quite interesting. It be nice to get your view and other colleagues in that matter.
Atlegang can you please ask him what would happen if you already have obtained a BA Law degree and you want to do your LLB at Unisa will you be credited for some of the modules you have completed? Or are you going to be required to start all over ?
You will be credited. I completed a Bcom law degree at another institution and I’m currently in UNISA and they credited me for the law modules that I completed during the Bcom law.
@@AmandaMlambo thank you so much
Hi, you will be credited. sorry I took time to response, best wishes hey 👏👏👏
So I am working full time and studying with Unisa full time. I have a question regarding articles.
I feel like it's pointless to get your LLB and not do articles and being admitted as an attorney or advocate.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of not doing articles?
I think the chat here is that if it doesn’t come straight away after graduating, do something else within the legal space whilst trying to secure articles. My number 1 advice to Unisa students is if they don’t get articles, to do their Masters at another University and keep applying for articles. It improves your chances of getting in a good law firm for articles 🌸
@@atleganggovuza6733 Thanks for the response Atlegang.
I totally agree with that.
@@atleganggovuza6733
Is there any reason why it's difficult for Unisa LLB grads to get articles?
Is it because Unisa students are thought to be not as qualified as graduates from other universities?
And if so, doesn't that disadvantage one who decides to study through Unisa?
When do you attend classes as you are working full time?
@@lungashanty8182 I work from home, so I can attend virtually via teams.
If you can help guys please assist, I need to do my articles. I finished my LLB Degree is 2019 with a 73% average (UNISA). I am currently based in Durban.
