Lately it has been raining a lot! While water for the grass is good, TOO much rain may also damage the lawn. In this video I am going to show you what signs to look for if you had too much rain on the lawn and some of the damages it can cause. I will also show you how to fix a patchy lawn after heavy rain.

They have, they are a bit lighter in color, but hopefully it will get darker over the next couple of weeks :)
Don't you just love it when the weather doesn't cooperate? As soon as you want rain, it doesn't come. And when you don't want it, it won't stop! Also, I can't get over how good that border looks around the lawn!

Oh my… Sam, I thought it was just the UK having an awful summer 😂 Can’t wait to see the video on the Allett, had mine a year now and rather like it. Keep your push one though as the Allett is heavy if the lawns a bit soft after all this rain. Did you get any of the attachments for the Allett? I recommend the scarifier, it’s just amazing how much crap it can pull out and does so little damage to the lawn, you can use it weekly (weather permitting)
Hey Steve, you know, somehow it makes it a bit better to know someone else has as miserable weather as I am haha😅 So thanks for that! Which Allett do you have, the same? I really like it but I didn't get any of the attachments, I will bring up why in the video, but I can easily believe that it pulls out tons of stuff! How's the density if you use it weekly?
@@SamsLawn I’ve the same as you the liberty 43. Density is pretty good, I mean you don’t want the lawn too dense or disease can set in.
Your lawn is quite short leave it a bit longer and stop stressing the lawn 👍👍👍👍 great content
Thanks mate! I know, it's a bit short, but I am actually surprised how well it has handles the short mow, hopefully I can train it to look even better when cutting short.
@@SamsLawn If it's Bermuda Tiff you can mow it as short as you want.
Our only options for fungicide here are sulphur and copper sulphate.
Copper comes mixed with lime so not for your situation but you may wish to investigate more.
We put on sulfur as a spray, wetable powder so ground very fine.
.....and put it on with a diaphragm pump sprayer like is used for bleach or strong vinegar.
The abrasiveness will damage a piston pump sprayer.

Hi Sam, since your new seeds germinated I wonder how they look compared to RPR? Similar to Masterline there is Johnsons 4Turf with 50% of the tetraploid seeds so was thinking to get this over rpr if they perform well, and its £60 cheaper compared to rpr per 20kg bag. Anyways great and informative videos, enjoy watching them.

It's looking pretty good, although not as dark green as the Barenbrug RPR just yet, haven't really fertilized or done anything to it yet. planning on showing an update in a video here soon, just so much other stuff in the way. Hopefully I can get around to it soon. Thanks for dropping by!
