    It’s nice to see a vintage singer that is actually trying to sound like the time period. The amount of “vintage singers” on UA-cam who just sound like Paloma faith drives me crazy

    One of the greatest creations from PMJ. I don't understand how some people here have a hard time understanding her. I didn't really know the lyrics to this song but I understood her fine. This is super amazing. Fantastic voice, style, camera work and musicians always on point.

      yeah, I don't see it. just because a woman is blonde or has a girlish voice doesn't make her like MM. Monroe wasn't nearly as talented a singer, for one, she lacked range. And I also see more Jean Harlowe here. she was here before Marilyn with the platinum blonde hair and red lips, and actually inspired her.

    • @JUP1TER.
      @JUP1TER. 8 років тому +4

      marilyn monroe is my idol, but she didn't start the "blonde bombshell" look. jean harlowe made it popular, & marilyn made it iconic. marilyn also had to work extremely hard to sing well; even then, she wasn't extremely good. her voice was sultry & seductive - that's what was famous about her voice. marilyn was much more talented as an actress.
      but i digress, she wasn't very marilyn monroe to me. the style may have been iconic because of marilyn, but it wasn't marilyn's creation. :^)

    Great cinematography, fantastic arrangement. The black-and-white gives it great class. Not too keen on the voice chosen- she's beautiful, but the voice just doesn't seem to fit. You guys have come a LONG way from a cramped living room! Can't wait to see y'all in October in Nashville!

    This cover, and Addie's voice....SPELLBINDING! Her vocals are so perfectly restrained and emotive...ugh! She is definitely underrated in the comments section - some people clearly don't have an in depth understanding of the kind of control she is exhibiting here. Stunning.

    Part of the charm of PMJ videos is the raw, casual feel of the single camera. I obsessively watch some of the other PMJ videos (I admit it), but with this one I didn't even want to finish it because of all the movement. (although the cover and the performers are fine - glad to finally know what the lyrics to this song are...)

    The edit starting at 1:30 is WAY COOL ... Addie pushes Scott right off the screen. Love it or hate it ... I think change is good. Addie is one of the three PMJ singers, I'd have chosen for this rendition (plus she's the only one with a Debbie Harry thing going on). The way it was filmed, pulled me into the PMJ alternate universe, more so than any previous song.

    This is the finest overall effort ever on PMJ. The music, direction, sets, costumes even Addie's hair are all just perfect. Congratulations to everyone on a fine job well done. I can't figure why the view numbers are so low.
