Wow, I didn't know agent 47 had such a sweet voice!
I thought the same haha
I was going with Billy Corgan, but Agent 47 is so much better
When he turned in the beginning I was really expecting a red tie.
I thought the same XD
We are all on the same page ^^
"Do what you want with my music, just dont make it boring!" Freddie Mercury
Mission accomplished!
With a vengeance!
Utterly speechless!!! ❤️❤️
1- The actual phrase goes something like "You can do what you want with my music, remix, rerelease i don't care, just don't make ME boring "
2- this phrase was for Miami and can only be played to him and the og Queen members
My wife and I agree. One of the best male vocals we have ever heard. Freddie Mercury would be proud.
Everyone is praising Michael (Who is great), but that guitarist captures Brian May's style perfectly.
I know that I'm late for the party but I had the same exact thought about that guitarist
thinking the same except with all respect the singer is awesome but i didnt quite get the queen feel from his voice
OH MY GOD THEY DID@!!!!
Braden Lyle y'all!
As close as someone not playing The Red Special :) There's only one guitar for the job
Great singer, great arrangement, great song choice, Postmodern Jukebox is truly one of the greatest things of the century so far
yeah and last century's was hitler

It's kind of hard to comprehend how amazing this is.
First thing that struck me was in the intro was how beautiful his voice is. Next was how wonderful the set and choreographing was. I really liked how the back up vocalist would casually stroll to the mic for their part. Very nice.
I’m getting chills and tears. Freddie would be proud.
...O.K., now we need a "Buggles version" of Bohemian Rhapsody. :-D
Buggles version of Radio Ga Ga would be the natural selection.
Oh wah oh!... We are the chaaaampions oh wah oh!
@@thebronywiking ^ This.
I think you mean radio gaga
Put the blame on, put the blame on, put the blame on vtr....no no no no no no no!
mama mia mama mia put the blame on vtr.
I could not have loved this any more
Just imagine if Freddie was still around, he'd come in halfway through the song, arms wide and belting out this tune as well!
Stop it, I didn't want to cry today.
Freddie Mercury, Billy Joel and Bob Dylan are strong in his voice😁❤️
He 100% would
@@adamschneider868 , RIP Freddie...
@@LootGoblin4510 he paid for his lifestyle, everyone does in the end.
I've rewatched this several times. It occurs to me that Scott is somehow magic in finding all these singers with range, command of song dynamics etc.
Agent 47 singing like Freddie Mercury while Trotsky is playing the guitar and Jessica Rabbit singing the backup parts
What is this video even?
No joke I think he is the most talented singer you have brought on in a long time. The guitarists were excellent too. Solid performance all around. Bravo!
agreed.
He debuted at a tour I went to
Cunio and Dani are on the current US tour (20 2.0) I was amazed by both of them
We saw them last night in Omaha. The energy was INSANE.
@@rexdangervest7174 I first heard him in Glasgow. Loved him since.
That is a CRAZY likeness to Freddie's voice. Amazing!
Listen to it again. But this time with my eyes closed. I thought Freddie was was singing. Great job Maichael Cunio. 👍👍👍
This guy has a HELL of a voice! No autotune, because he slurs the notes like Freddie did! I miss that in modern music.
Damn Michael can sing, and you guys captured the queen vibe perfectly. Intense vocals and crescendoing music, amped up to the perfect moments.
I'd be honored if some Queen fans who appreciate 80s/90s classics would check out my live piano & vocal covers of PURPLE RAIN by Prince and PRAYING FOR TIME by George Michael on my channel in tribute to 2 of the greatest singer-songwriters in music history who followed the trail that Freddie Mercury blazed. Live acoustic with no autotune. Thanks and RESPECT to the legends.
My teenage kids have no idea what MTV even is. Lol MTV killed MTV.
So they don't watch catfish? dang
@@Udontkno7 They know the term but not the show unless they watch it on youtube we don't have cable.
Well put Adrian!
Yup as soon as they stopped playing videos and jumped on the reality TV bandwagon
"The Real World" was the beginning of the end...
Freddie Mercury would be proud.
It's a tough decision, but I think this is maybe my favorite PMJ arrangement. I was a teenager in the '70s, dating a DJ when that meant someone who worked a shift at a radio station picking out music and being a personality - they were local celebrities! I remember watching the Buggles sing this on the very first MTV show and wondering if this strange medium could actually kill radio and DJs and feeling a little bit sad. But I'm also a Queen/Freddie Mercury/Prog fan from back in the day and love how you guys pulled all of that together in this arrangement. Great musicians, great vocalists, great interpretation! Thanks for the memories! ❤📻💔
lol i can tell your body count is higher than normandy in ww2
I'm afraid Spotify and iHeartRadio did away with the radio star, sadly. :(
Right, I keep thinking I've found my favorite and then there was this one. As someone else said, the guitarist also had Brian May down also. I was a huge Queen fan from the very first album, but also remember the debut of MTV and this song. Priceless!
I was a kid when MTV premured, but if we look back - they were far too accurate.
No ugly musicians allowed and we don't even have video jockeys anymore...music is served to us by algorithm.
Well, this just made my life.
And me too
Love the references of Bohemian Rhapsody and a few other Queen songs!
is this the real life
EDIT: oh no what did i just start
or just fantasy
Caught in a landslide?
No escape from reality
Open your eyes
So this is totally a song that'd eventually show up in Crowley's Bentley
GryffinclawPrefect of all the places to find a pre-amazon gomens fan
yup lol
Good to find Kevins in unexpected places :-)

When I read the part I thought that whenever theywould make a movie Postmodern Jukebox would be the kind of guys which could make a Queen version of any song. I think the TV adaption is good. But they just missed the oppurtunity to show us something like this.
Freddie would have loved the diversity of this.
@@creamwobbly Yes, diversity. Look it up in the dictionary; it's not used solely in reference to race.
@@syd.a.m thank you
That Bohemian Rhapsody break that started at 2:43 was great!
That's Killer Queen.
@@mgordon1100 no
@@jackdonohue7893 , it actually sounds like the Hyde Park break from BoRhap into Killer Queen.
Love how you worked in some of Queen's signature changes.
that was something that Queen done fantastically well, changing the keys or tempo in a song and not losing the structure of whatever they played, they could do it live aswel and more so in the 70's shows 👑✊🇬🇧
This is one of my favorite things ever. Loved every second. It's like listening to a new amazing song from Queen you didn't know about. And to a great arrangement of Video killed radio star at the same time. Wow
I had the immense pleasure of seeing Cunio sing and MC at Duane Park in NYC during a burlesque show a few years back. He was a wonderful host, but man oh man he absolutely blew us away with his vocal performance. He completely brought down the house and received a standing ovation. After the show I briefly chatted with him on the street outside the venue - he was a really nice guy. I was thrilled to see him on PMJ's latest collection.
This voice and this song are everything
I wasn't expecting that kind of range from Michael! He may look like Jack Skellington but it was amazing!
How did I miss this when it first came out? Wowzers.
When he hit the high note there on the last chorus, that was quite the showstopper!
Not even 20 seconds in and his voice has given me goosebumps.
This is one of the best performances I have ever seen. He nailed the Mercury style. Congratulations to all
After many years, a lost track from the Rocky Horror Show resurfaces
... Now I'm legitimately mad that this wasn't actually in it
Freddie would be proud of such a performance.
"Freddie Mercury style" was enough for me :) one again a beautiful cover from you guys!
Talent! You are a gifted bunch of musicians! And you are the genius behind it all Scott! Thank you so much, Love, Dorrie
The guy singing this is gorgeous and his voice is to die for ...
The queen style is spot on!
It took me a while to recognize the original song.
Well done!
If Freddie was still with us he would have joined in. Great job to you all.
OH SHIT...this dude's voice is amazing!!!
OMG!!!!!! WHAT A VOICE! FANTABULOUS! And nice Queen tease
Outstanding!! Very creative. It's Nov.3, election night, and this sure beats watching that.
I can't say that I've ever heard a voice that was so androgynous. Very powerful and I can only imagine how much fun you could have with that range ❤ you rocked it!
Brianna Dicks look up Freddie Mercury.....
Androgynous? So maybe you have to go to a mens choir. They have this kind of voices everywhere (maybe not that good and powerfull)
@@geko9425 I do live in a rural area, however, I was in choir and musicals for quite a while. Either way, the way he blends the high and low notes so seamlessly is gorgeous and could easily come off as masculine or feminine as he likes it. It's a wonderful talent 😊 that you don't always see.
@@DH_Artist Good point👍
Check out Antony on UA-cam singing Leonard Cohen's If It Be Your Will at the tribute concert in Australia which is documented on the 2006 DVD I'm Your Man. Antony has an exquisite androgynous voice that you will appreciate, I think.
UA-cam killed the Video Star. _GREAT SONG!_ Thanks for covering this one!
Yep, I remember
My bride and I saw PMJ with Cunio, he puts on a good show
Everything about this is badass! The build up, guitar solo, climax, the television.....
Nice job of incorporating Queen-isms including the style and also guitar and keyboard licks. Love PMJ.
Wow! Freddie would be proud!
Shana Martin you have no idea wether Freddie would be proud or no
They are doing amazing things with music, of course Freddie would be proud
you couldn't have said it better
A voice worthy of the great man himself.
As much as the end product is a collaborative effort, with everyone playing their part beautifully, I must congratulate Cunio's performance, stance and style!
This is insane. Clicked the link not knowing quite what to expect but it’s blown my mind.
One of the best in a while, absolutely electric!
The background singers, lead singer and the band all just so brilliant. I have heard few modern recordings and videos done this beautifullly. No lies!
This fellow has pipes.
Agent 47 can blend in anywhere.
Noodleboy N I’m loving all the Hitman comments-
Funny how the song's lyrics explain how new mediums and the TV industry dispossessed artists of their work and this is what happens with many biopics. Impressive performance!
I don't even... know where to begin on how amazingly, magnificently, FREAKING FABULOUS this record is!!! Everything fit! All the notes that needed to be played/ sung were, and none of the notes that needed to be not sung/ played were extant.
Repeat! Not sure how many times, but more than 10!
Thank you for this music that uplifts and inspires the soul!
Never thought this song could make me even more emotional ❤
Just when I though PMJ couldn't get any better?! Perfection!
AMAZING 💛 JUST.. PURE EXCELLENCE, Thank you for this
Brilliant!!!!! Thank You So Very Much!!!
If Queen had covered the Buggles; and then they covered that. Bravo... Tears, lump in throat, love, love, love.❤
Who knew a young Uncle Fester had such a great voice?
Matthew Kirkconnell 😂💀😂💀
Uncle Fester...🤣 Uncle Fester must have gone on a strict diet.
That's not Billy Corgan? :-)
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He's lost a little weight too.
Was literally listening to this song when the notification came up for the vid!
This was actually fucking ace by the way
Ace? Is that a Jake & Amir reference?
"that's a lovely lovely voice"
Nope just using good old British colloquialism
AlextheWise That’s so freaky 😱
Utterly Fantastic.. I love this .. BRAVO ...
Freddie would be proud!! Outstanding!! 👏👏👏👏
That is an amazing voice.
No joke I was just thinking last week of how awesome it would be if Postmodern Jukebox covered this song. My prayers have been answered, this is fantastic!
Excellent. Bravo. Encore!
I have to just listen to this without the picture so I can see Freddie Mercury up on stage singing this in my mind.
Bradlee has done some great arrangements, but Freddie Mercury and the Buggles....I never even conceived the idea, much less thought it could be pulled off. But somehow they keep on doing it and doing it well.
And everybody rushing back to the tv is so meta for the song they're singing
Every song should have a queen Freddie style cover. You guys nailed this.
Just F'in AMAZING!
The gentle "oh, ah, oh" though
OMG ! ! ! ! The bar has been raised YET AGAIN!
Scott, you outdid yourself on this arrangement!
The rhythm of the chorus was explosive while remaining complementary to the overall arrangement, not to mention that it was spot-on, Freddie-esque to boot!
So... Yet again, I will share this with friends and who knows... Maybe some will appreciate it 1/2 us much as your dedicated fans do! :-)
thank you for the kind words :)
You guys seriously outdid yourself with this one
You guys have made alot of great music. But this is the best of it
Extraordinary is the word that comes to mind.
Phenomenal! I'm a huge fan of PMJ, 80s music and Queen so this hits all the right notes for me. Very well done. This made my day; nay, my month!
I'm falling in love with his voice! Something in it really reminds me of Freddie
That was mind blowing, just wow that guy was amazing.
He is wonderful and this arrangement is on point but my brain is being held hostage by the fact that one of the backup singers looks like the human version of Jessica Rabbit.
P P P Plleeaseee....
She's not bad, she just looks like someone whose drawn that way.
Maybe it is just the way she holds her paws...er, ah...hands. Great performance, tho. I enjoyed it 🐰
I'm sorry. That's not your brain.
I think two of them are
He has such control over his voice! ❤
Just saw PMJ live in Philly, with Cunio as the MC. What an AMAZING show! If you get a chance to see them live, definitely do it! #PMJtour
The vocalist is INSANE!
Bloody hell. That is pure perfection.
This is an absolute masterpiece, you have touched the soul....
One of my favorites. This gent absolutely KILLS it both in his own right and as someone channeling Mercury. Freddie'd be honored or at least amused as all getout, methinks. This is what I love best about PMJ - the product of the song and the different style is AT LEAST as good as the original work, and arguably much better, certainly as something fresh. Everyone here channels Queen so well - admittedly the Bohemian Rhapsody piano notes "clue" may be a bit heavy handed. But man, this rocks. Female backing vocals don't immediately invoke Queen to the casual fan, but these ladies and their written part DO form a great connection with the original song and I'm glad they're here too. The electric guitar rocked - an absolute necessity for Queen... PMJ, well done. This is what really sets you guys apart, the genius of mixing such ingredients. Well done, all.
Hell, Roger Taylor sings higher than many women! :-)
Wow what a show in Orlando. Thankx sooo much. Can't wait for the next show.
Stay together guys and form a band. It is simply phenomenal. Everything is in place. Fantastic singer, talented musicians... I cime back and back here and listen the song again.
Scott-Cunio and PMJ should do a Rocky Horror Picture Show homage next! Happy Halloween, PMJ!
Charlena Wright pmj take on Rocky Horror stuff would be great to see
YES, PLEASE!
Now, that would be worth seeing. Rocky Horror all the way!
Dude that would slap so fucking hard!!
Yes please
This is amazing! Cunio nailed it!! It's a great mash up and a great homage to Freddie Mercury... xxXX
PERFECTION
I've become obsessed with this. The Queen sampled at the end are a little on the nose but, by God, that voice, that arrangement. Stunning.
I am blown away. This is incredible. Thank you so much.
😳 WOW
How did it take me so long to find this one?! I love, love, love it!
What an awesome way to start the day. May/Mercurishque arrangement. Awesome 3 part harmony.
