In this video, we’ll take to the skies with Qatar Airways aboard their Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on a flight from Oslo, Norway through to Doha, Qatar.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience both being back onboard with Qatar Airways and checking out their latest iteration of business class aboard the Dreamliner.
Highlights very much included the new look and feel of the cabin alongside some superb service as ever from the crew. Since my last experience with them in business class last year, I’d say their food and beverage offerings have slightly improved so really good all round.

Absolutely flawless onboard and illustrates perfectly why I believe Qatar Airways are the best airline in the world at the moment. Love the privacy the seat offers and the little extra touches such as the warm towel before bed, the amuse-bouche and the new pyjamas. The only downside seems to be the lounge in Oslo- probably a little out of Qatar Airways' control as I imagine they are allowing access to the best lounge and would only be improved if they offered their own lounge in the airport. Glad you enjoyed this flight... I certainly would have done!
Yeah super one for sure! Like you, firmly believe they’re retaining top spot at the moment, everything is just so consistently great above all else. Oslo lounge a little average but very much a minor route for them so fair enough, interesting transfer there none the less! 🇳🇴

Great review you captured the on-board atmosphere very well, I would say that was probably an almost perfect flight, seat and IFE looked really good, food presentation looked very impressive as was the wine selection, probably the only slight let down was the lounge but the airport looked very nice.

Individual over-head airvents! So glad they're still offering those. Qatar remain class leading! It's just a nuisance having to connect via Doha...

I'm a big fan of the new J design, compared to the past (which was very nice, too). Flying QR is such a pleasant experience, especially upfront. Another great report, TbD!

Flying Qatar in September 2024 BHX to Hanoi and back from BKK. Great to also earn Tier Points for BA status. Fingers crossed to get an upgrade option.

I really like the layout of these suites, in fact I prefer the look of them versus the Q Suites on the 351s, which featured a rear facing suite every other row, which was absolutely fantastic by the way...I really don't like facing rearwards on a train, let alone a plane
Yeah, for me they were so well done. Avoided the awkward odd layout every other seat, for me I dislike being too close to the aisle so in many ways a bit of an upgrade.
Let’s see what Q suite 2.0 brings…
Flown the q suite many times. Going lhr doh bkk in few weeks for work. Managed to miss anything but the old biz seat and return bkk on a Cathy pacific lease seat. Service should make up for it though

You’re right! They had the LP for years, I think I was too tipsy at the stage of filming the menus to notice the swap! Can attest that the new Rose option is very good 😅

Does anyone know how many different Business class seats or suites Qatar airways are currently using ? It seems to be quite a lot as far as I can see .. just interested to know .. 🙏
Hmm not too sure with the potential phase out of the older 2-2-2 seat. I’d say it’s most likely to be around 4 at the moment plus any dry leased aircraft such as the Cathay 777’s…
Please try to say 'particular' a little less.....! Nice review, I wonder how long it will take to fit all the Dreamliners. I avoid Barcelona and use Madrid to get the 777 (or A350)

Oh wow, thank you for this review. I am taking my 85 Yr old mum to Australia in September. We are going business class as I thought this would make the journey as comfortable as possible for her. I can well imagine her not wanting to ever get off 😂. Do you have any helpful advice as I have never been to Doha Airport before 😮

In terms of Doha, if you’re flying business class I’d get off to their amazing lounges pronto, they really are incredible. Beyond that, the orchard gardens on the new north side are incredible, perfect way to detox after a long flight ✈️
What happened to the pre-landing light meal/snack, a catering weakness with many airlines?. I don't think flying Business gets much better than this, they are top of their game with this product. You obviously enjoyed your flight, I think you had more fizz than the champagne and well modelled PJ's, you could be Qatar's cover boy for that amenity.
Ahhh too much sleep robbed me of that on this flight hit would’ve no doubt been fab. Hahaha yep lots of fizz and thanks for the comments on the lounge wear, will see if they’ll sponsor the channel haha
