I second on that. While I don't have mine yet; can say by looking this fig is fun; on same level with Legacy Core Class Iguanus. This figure is bit of same case like ER Quintesson Judge was, it has to have some form of transformation other wise you would just sell head spinning fig.
I gotta agree. Even tho its not perfect, it's certainly got a lot of playability to it and it's just really neat. The figure itself is good and the backpack is a fun accessory (I like giving it to my mainline prime to use as a shield). The only bit that doesn't make sense is the alt mode but I still can't hate it. And it sounds weird but I think the thing I appreciate the most is that his head can look all the way up so he can see in the direction his backpack is shooting him off in rather than looking down while flying
removable backpack seems a good solution to the "it must transform" issue. it wasn't in the movie, but it's something entirely plausible for a human-transformer in all 3 modes(jet, jetpack-man, and exosuit+drone) there's also a hidden feature: the gun is designed to wedge between the tail fins, in jetwing mode this allows it to be a big jet engine. a jetwing is a real world thing, a type of functional jetpack with relatively long range thanks to large wings. noah díaz did kind of fly with little engines on his back, but this was closer to assisted jumping than full flight. and i think even though the exo-suit was only on screen for a short bit, it is important because it was used in one of the big fights.
It's cool to see a proper action figure of a human character from transformers, it's like a modern answer to Daniel's little car mech suit thing. I gotta say, this is way better than the little people that came with the human alliance figures right? The fact that the "alt mode" is a glorified backpack makes me wonder if this is an homage to Action Masters or something.
This takes "robot under a jet" to astronomical new heights. Also, one of the best examples so far of "Transformers toys that really didn't need to be Transformers or convert in literary any way", this would be much less a problem if Transformers didn't seem to refuse to sell anything that doesn't transform at least a bit, and has never been willing to commit to human characters
Complaining that it is a poor "seeker robot" is entirely missing the point. It's a human in a suit - and one who has had no headmaster or similar surgery to alter his body. He wouldn't be able to "transform" any more than he does without suffering serious injury. Giving him a transformable accessory, one that echoes an aspect of the suit as shown in the movie, is the right way to go. And yes: that is very Action Master-like.
I agree, the jet mode blows - especially compared to the seekers. But I think I can still justify my purchase with the suit and keeping the Jet part in drone mode.
This is the problem for geewun folks, dude really thinks that a box bot that transform into a cassette would sell than a figure in a movie that just came out. They can't define what is actually cool to what is not. Don't get me wrong love me some cassettes but people would gravitate more to exo suit noah because of the design alone.
I just got the figure and I love it. The details are great. The jet, once detached, can be used as a minicon-like shield, and it looks great on SS Mirage.
I mean you customize it into a Samus from Metroid just got to trim a shave the blade off of the right arm to make it more accurate and before anyone ask why would a samus transformer make sense here cause she makes a cameo in one of the comics as a background character
One of the few figures of a human in transformers that isn’t relegated to being with a trailer, anti aircraft gun, jetpack, starscream face or a trash bumblebee figure worse than the original which was a MASTERPIECE compared to it.
How these transformers movies keep becoming box office bombs and rise of the beasts become the lowest grossing film in the transformers film franchise?
Because it's still the same plot over and over they need to find a mcgufffin thats really powerful and still focuses on the human aspect which no one ever asks for in a transformers movie and tlk killed any more excitement and this movie was squeezed between spiderverse and the flash when they should've found another release date and michael bay and Lorenzo dibonaventura is still producers and hasbro and paramount don't believe in a reboot which is what's needed for a successful movie but that's my opinion
