My dad done the same thing I love it and build mines when i was in 6 grade now I’m older now and since we move out of old house someone still playing on that goal till this day
Dad of the year material. Love that you leveled everything. Shooting on a crooked goal isn't fun. So many nice things to say about this build. I just appreciate that it took a short time to put something up that will payoff in sooo many ways.
Who else has been wanting a basketball like this for their whole life and just watching to show ur dad and hopefully make him make one But u know he won’t :(
Some people can’t afford to so if your dad doesn’t it’s cuz he’s busy keeping a roof over your head food in your belly clothes on your back and a phone in your pocket so....quicha bitchin
Thats awesome 👌 i just ordered this hoop & im gonna try & set it up soon. Ill definitely need to ask my Brother & a friend to help me out For sure. Can't wait to see my 8 yr old son use it every day 👍
Nice job on the basketball hoop installation! It's awesome to see parents passing down their childhood memories to their kids. I'm sure your son will have a blast playing on it. 🏀👏
By seeing this video and all the comments of different people wishing for this as a dream. I'm convinced of getting it for my son thank you guys ! and thank you for the VIDEO !
This is awesome!! And if it gets your kids off video games like Fortnite, it’s well worth the price. Everybody’s not going pro, but this would help make the journey so much more memorable. Putting a goal up almost makes you an instant friend to hoopers, both casual and serious. I think I played ball at my house and every other house in my town with a goal. And people will obey the house rules of your respective court, simply for fear of missing out. This is why you buy *PROPERTY*, instead of wasting it on other things. Property owners can do almost anything they want on their land, within reason. Great skill to learn.
I don't think another 9" is going to make a huge difference. It definitely won't fall over. Worse case it might start to lean over time. I would suggest sliding the hole over if you can to dodge the boulders. If that's not possible, try to dig around them as much as possible and pour the concrete around and below them to make them part of your footing when it all sets up. Hopefully that makes sense.
beastmodemani I had to use an electric jack hammer just to get to 33” now I’m thinking I need to keep going and get 7” more inches. Good thing is surrounded by rock will be stronger than by dirt.
Great video!! I bought a 54 Goalrilla and am looking forward to shooting hoops. Does yours move at all when ball hits rim or backboard? What I'm asking is I bought an expensive brand just like you did because it's suppose to be durable and minimal shaking. What can I expect? Thank you so much and God speed to you and your family.
Great video! How is the hoop holding up? I just got my hole dug and debating on just filling it with concrete or using a sonotube. What size of sonotube did you use? Also, are you glad you used the tube instead of just filling the hole? Thanks for any help!
Hello, Greetings from Toronto, Canada! Came across this video as i’ve been searching for something similar. Really enjoyed this video and other content on your channel. However, do you have any video of framing/pouring the concrete court? Before i start digging my backyard and get rid of the grass to build this concrete court, wanted to see some videos on what to expect and prepare. If you have content on building the court itself please let me know! Thanks,
Can you higher and lower the light? we have a lot of strong winds sometimes and I know having that light that high all the time isn't a great idea.. lol
Im installing one in my yard now. The book says to install as close as possible to the court. I noticed you put the footing a bit back. Are you happy with you placement ?? Thx Great job.
Great Video! We had to dig a hole large enough to remove an old footer that would not work with a newer possibly heavier system. Unfortunately, we had to dig a 40x30 inch circle just to get around it enough to bust old out. Now we are being told we cannot use a smaller form and then fill in dirt around it and compact it , I will not be safe? We will have to put a footer in the exact size of the big hole we already dug out. What is your opinion on this? We are deciding between a 475 lb Mega slam,. and one that only weight 275lb.
Nice. I'm in the market for a in ground 72 glass hoop. Not sure which manufacturer to go with. Could this system be installed directly on top of concrete?
Great vide, after watching this video I'm considering buying my neighbor 60 inch hoop, it's like 8 years old and I wonder if that would be a good idea even though it looks in great shape... Any thoughts?
I don't have a big driveway cause i live in a city in Sweden were its normal to have a little driveway if you dont live in the middle of nowhere which my friend does so he is getting a hoop installed soon. Only downside is that hes 30 minutes away and in these corona times im not going 30 minutes just to get corona.
I install these for a living.. You didn’t need to do any of that. I use a dig bar and post digger. I dig a square hole 18 x 18 x 48’ and use about 15 bags of 80lb sakrete . And I build it on the anchor . So main post first and level it. then the arm and I built a lift to hoist the backboard.
I have one of these to replace an old lifetime inground system. Theres a 23 inch hole from that.. And it needs to go into the same spot. This kind of install looks like my only option. Is it solid? I have 18yr olds that will wear this thing out!

The kid will be in the pros one day. I’m calling it🏀
Question... I tried digging 4ft down on mine, but met with some extremely large boulders. I’m at about 39” . Do you think that’ll be sturdy?
I don't think another 9" is going to make a huge difference. It definitely won't fall over. Worse case it might start to lean over time. Rogue Engineer did you put the entire form tube in the hole? I seen someone cut 4” out and wasn’t sure.
Definitely need to get it down.... bring in the dynamite!
beastmodemani I had to use an electric jack hammer just to get to 33” now I’m thinking I need to keep going and get 7” more inches. Good thing is surrounded by rock will be stronger than by dirt.
How many different takes did it take to get in the hoop?
LOL Too many! We nearly gave up.

I really really really really really want an inground basketball hoop one day
Is there a reason why the ground anchor isn’t installed to the edge of the driveway?
Im installing one in my yard now. The book says to install as close as possible to the court. I noticed you put the footing a bit back. Are you happy with you placement ?? Thx Great job.

what about corosion in general. If the coat wears of the bolt. Could it rust?
Any suggestions on how to repair the rim plate/support if bent forward?
I’ve got one pretty much the same but it’s made by mega slam, he built in a really hard way, stand the main pole up first, it’s a lot easier
Bro I'm leaving a like, I also subscribed already. Hope you continue building for your family. Have a good one.
How much money would you say this all cost in total? Wondering because I’m considering doing this myself.
RM 10 well there’s one for sale and it’s only 300
Replying because I’m wondering the same
$2000
Is Goalrilla or Megaslam better? What is best in ground adjustable basketball goal?
This is my dream hoop
This is my dream to have a hoop like this
Your kids don't know how lucky they are!
How come those 4 bolts are able to hold this much of weight?? And if they are only 1ft down the concrete why this concrete goes so deep?
The concrete needs to go below the frost line otherwise you can get movement/heaving.
he is so lucky to have that i always wanted one
About to be installing the same one for my first grand kid. 😂 he’s not even supposed to be born for another 3 months.
Very useful this film thanks for the presentation.
The video he recommended for me was how to install a toilet lol
If this kid doesn’t go D1 I’ll be very upset
Legit hoop.⛹🏽♂️
